Work on Sunday is absolutely BORING! Only 4 ppl in the whole office.. Cabbed to work cos the cab voucher was expiring.. Reached too early and headed to Burger King in Cine for breakfast.. One whole big box of filing to do.. Listened to my Ipod while filing.. No head mahz.. Shhh.. Haha.. Decided to start on Dec and Future drawers..

Lunch was pretty alright.. Saw Joan, Jianli and Camille.. Walked along Orchard Road with Asha to kill off the long lunch break.. Came back to see the Director of Front Office moving into his office.. Quite an unfriendly guy.. Nv even smile.. Haha.. I'm glad to know we now have coffee and tea amenities available in our pantry.. Haha..

Learnt to do EA (Expected Arrival) today.. Pretty easy just that doing that everyday will make a person go blind nonetheless.. Haha.. Knocked off at 5 and walked to Wisma to send the charger to SE for repair.. However, the shop was under renovation until 2 Oct.. What luck.. Stopped over at GAP to find Lynn.. She said I looked very Gu Niang.. Hehe.. You wanna know what I was wearing? Ask her.. Haha..

Watched like 4 episodes of Steps.. *Happy* Working tml again.. GV payslip still waiting for me.. Haha.. Random.. Ah Foo makes a good foot cushion and Snoopy still smells.. Haha..

Another off day wasted.. Went back to Tampines.. Blended into the sofa and started growing fungus.. Haha.. Decided it was too boring and did something even more boring-er, slept.. Haha.. Go all the way back to sleep..

The feeling of working on a Sunday sucks.. Esp when you know there's only be less than 5 ppl in the whole department and no S&M ppl to talk too when you get too bored.. Haha.. Heading to Wisma to repair my charger after work.. Maybe I'll get to see Lynn.. Anybody wanna tag along? Haha.. I'm awfully bored now.. Miss my steamboat soup.. I think it misses me too.. The Click Five rock.. Snoopy smells..

OPERA is not Easy..

I have officially no Recentlt Added songs in my Itunes.. Haha.. My hp charger has spoiled.. Hope its covered by warranty.. But the card's at Tampines.. Grr.. And I left my Ipod cable at Tampines too.. ARGH! Sucks having 2 homes.. Haha..

Pretty shocked by the MM pay.. Haha.. But not disappointed.. Saw Sylvia on the way to work and accidentedly told her there were only 2 TP interns thinking that she was asking about Reservations.. Haha.. But I think she's met either Jian Li or Wei Lun cos one of them told her we had 14.. Haha.. And I left my bands in the toilet cubicle and it's gone now.. Have to go Montip to get new ones.. The aircon at work was freezing today that I had to bring in my own sweater.. Sent like a billion faxes today with the Vietnam one that kept getting stuck in the machine..

Did a serious Boo Boo today.. Guest booked Grand Tower Premier Room and I gave them Grand Tower PRESIDENTIAL SUITE.. Oops! Lucky Haz was around to spot that out if not I'll be in deep shit.. Haha.. Long bookings scare the hell out of me.. Examples:

1) Book 60 days in advance to receive an Early Bird Free upgrde from South Tower Deluxe to Grand Tower Deluxe..

2) Stay on Fri, Sat and Sun mornings to receive free breakfast on Sat, Sun and Mon mornings..

3) Stay 4 nights, pay 3 nights.. Stay 8 nights, pay 6 nights..

4) Honeymooners get King Size bed, Flowers, Wine and Chocolates..

Not to mention we have the different breakfast packages to rmb, routing to do, Collect Voucher Alerts, Name of Sharer, Commisionable Rates, Rates of the rooms, Types of bookings etc.. So ppl, dun ever think that behind the scenes is ever an easy job k? We don't jus answer phones and key bookings or slack around the whole day k? It takes alot of brainpower and patience to know how to key all those stuff k? The OPERA learnt back in sch is Chicken Feet compared to the real LIVE version that we experienced..

So bored at home.. Going back to Tampines for a short while tml to get some stuff.. Working Sun morning, 9am to 5pm.. OFF tml.. Bored Bored Bored.. *Yawn*

Many failed cos they were either too small or too kiam chai.. Oops!

Bad Day @ Work~!

Was a lil pissed today at work.. Staplers and highlights gone doesn't mean that we took them ok? And the moment some booking form is filed in the wrong date and wrong alphabet, they blame us.. Sheesh! We have to file hundreds of booking forms everyday and it's quite normal for us to file one or two wrongly right? And I can understand Canto ok? Sorry just needed to let some steam out.. I'll be fine..

Canteen food didn't make my day either.. Out to Burger King in Cine for lunch then.. Smuggled some Oreo Wafer Sticks back.. Boring day at work.. It didn't help either that Asha had lots of billing to do and couldn't allow me to do any keying in.. Sianz.. Bad day bad day.. Home Home Home.. Bumped into Rebecca again on my way out.. Looked like she was rushing.. Prob some night classes.. Saw Jayne too.. Didn't go K with JW and WT they all cos already reached home and was in a moodless mood.. At least dinner was good..

Sadly Never Before..

So busy today.. Haven't finish one task another one pop up.. Kns.. Utter madness.. So shag now.. Don't see all office work hor.. Office work also chor one k? Haha..

Billing in the morn.. No time to file.. Had to search for booking forms from all over Sept.. Moved on to shifting the drawers becos Oct was exploding.. Did some amendments.. Lunch at 1pm.. The canteen auntie was funny.. Mooncakes for desserts.. "These mooncakes from CATERER not hotel ah".. Haha.. Forgot what I did after lunch.. "Raffles" birthday today.. Quite crappy I thot the whole celebration.. Our Reservations bought cake, Old Chang Kee and Branded Tie for him and planned a surprise but he had to ruin it himself.. Boooo..

Did prepayment filing halfway then got called to keyed bookings.. Did 3 out of 10 and got called to help photocopying.. Couldn't even get to the photocopying and had to do searching again.. Wah.. Walk here walk there.. Type this type that.. Peace came when the clock striked 6pm.. Saw WL and Serene on the way back to locker.. Met Sandy and went for dinner at Subway.. "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry" after that at Cine.. Boring and draggy show.. Seriously not recommended..

Snoopy was sleeping on my bed when I came home.. Now my bed is full of her hair.. Eeew.. Bad dog! "Have No Fear, Underdog is Here!"

I've been sleeping early and waking up early.. So "healthy" eh? Haha.. Well, I guess that's one of the benefits of working office hours.. Jian Kang Bao Bao.. =D

Reached work like super duper early today.. Was supposed to find Asha to learn Billing but she wasn't around so headed to the corner for filing.. Told Gina about having to return back to school on 6th Oct.. Thot she would want us to use our A/L but she didn't.. 1pm lunch.. Saw Cherie who eating with some Housekeeping supervisors.. Haha..

Back to the office.. Carey needed help for faxing so I volunteered.. Rebecca came today with a Caucasian girl.. Think she was showing her around.. Managed to say Hi.. Billing is seriously hard.. I had no idea how to go about it.. Just sat there like a dummy seeing Asha type stuff.. Decided to go do some photocopy again.. Sandy and I were using Opera as MSN.. Haha..

The aircon makes the office feel like Alaska.. Adjust here adjust there.. Gave up on it and just shivered at my desk.. Went to the toilet almost 3 times in 2 hours.. Was so afraid of being scolded.. Haha.. BTW, think Reservations is moving up to the 6th storey beside the GM cos heard Stanton asking Gina about the number of seats she required.. Oh well..

Saw TTM on the way home.. 20 more mins to Metamorphosis.. Sent an email to Mr. Zainal asking about the project.. Still have that E-Journal to complete.. Those in MM, maybe this email reply would be able to help..

Slacky day again.. Haha.. And do you know when you get assigned a desk and a User ID, you'll feel much more at home? That's what I got today.. =D Decided to lunch with Sandy @ Cineleisure since the canteen food was so non-appetizing and we were dressed like Humans.. =p Pasta Mania then and "people- watched" a family of Ang Mohs eating.. Haha..

Back to work but only that minimal keying in to do.. Jackie dug out 2006's payment forms and we were told to shred them and feed them to the big WHITE bag.. Unlike GV's, our trash bags here are White.. Haha.. However, for an office that is merged with Sales & Marketing and both dpt uses paper like there's no tomorrow, there isn't a paper shreder at all.. -.-'.. So we had to do it manually.. Rai cut her papers with a scissors cos she didn't want to harm the trees.. Asha and I tore them mercilessly.. Brenda was tearing them into incy wincy little pieces.. I have prove.. Haha.. I think it's Ming Fa's birthday today.. Happy Birthday.. =D

Thursday- 830am shift.. Reached office pretty early.. Wanted to try to find out something but to no avail.. Suzie was even earlier and she treated me to a Char Siew Pau.. =D Turned on all the computers then headed to do my regular filing.. Tried to do it slowly cos I wanted it to last till lunch.. And it did! Did some clipping after lunch cos Joan couldn't finish them on her own.. Was so busy with all these random stuff that I didn't even key in a single booking the whole day.. Haha.. But it was fun.. Running to and fro from Reservations to Sales & Marketing (S&M)..

Off work and headed to Plaza to meet Yanqi then to GV to find Jay.. She had a sore eye; must have seen something wrong.. Haha.. GV's selling Mash Potato @ $4.50.. Goodness.. Add one Cheesy & Drink= $6.50.. I'll prob finish them before even entering the cinema.. Haha.. To Kopitiam for some Yong Tau Foo cos we were too hungry.. Wanted to buy Court Shoes but mine were still quite new.. Bought nail polish and blusher from Sasa though.. Haha..

Then off to Mind's Cafe with 10 people- Yanqi, Wayne, Weiting, Junwei, Alverina, Yiyi, Aunty Choo Lan, Bernice, Yixia and Geswin.. Haha.. They have the weirdest games and we didn't know how to play most of them and ended up switching games everytime.. Finally settled on this game about expressions where we paired up as there were too many of us.. Haha.. Moved on to play "Taboo" where I was so blind as to mistake "Bush" for "Rush".. To some Chicken Rice stall down the road where they served not too nice rice and then to eat Dou Hua.. Home and crashed..

Friday- Today could be counted as the fun-nest day of SIP thus far! 830am again.. So groggy.. Started the routine filing again.. Boring Boring.. The S&M people were running all over the place.. Dunno for what.. Haha.. Gina and Amanda came and rounded up a bunch of people- Me, Brenda, Rai, Siva and Yilong to head up to the lobby to fetch our mooncakes.. Stood there like fools cos no one wanted to entertain us.. Back to office since the mooncakes not ready.. Sat down for like 10 mins and time to go back up to take the mooncakes again.. Diaoz..

Finally broke the ice with Amanda and came to realise she's actually quite easy to talk too.. Haha.. And she's from the same course too! The Pine Court Manager was so rude when we came to collect our mooncakes.. He told his staff, "Got time entertain them, no time don't care!" WTH.. We also paid for the mooncakes lor.. Just becos we are staff doesn't mean you can treat us in this attitude.. Gina went up and demand that they serve us immediately.. Way to Go! This is what you call "Got Head Got Face".. She worked in MM for 32 years liao hor.. Haha..

Back to office whereby the mooncakes were distributed.. I got the metal knife.. =D Suzie needed to find the booking for this person called, "Mizuoka Shuichi" and I had to search thru the booking slips for July 20, Aug 20, Sept 20, Oct 20 and Nov 20.. Each pile is at least 100 pieces thick.. Don't play play hor.. Haha.. But it's fun once you get used to it.. Got to know another S&M person who the whole office says looks like me.. Haha.. Work after lunch was even better.. Keyed in some bookings finally with my own ID.. =D Then had to search for some booking under some Jap name again.. Had to go all the way into a storeroom to dig it out.. Then the photocopier got stuck and we had to fix it.. Haha..

To GV after that to drop off the mooncakes that I bought.. Didn't stay long, late for driving.. Took cab, got caught in the jam, wasted $15.20.. Grr.. Driving was alright, 1st time night driving.. Haha.. Quite hard.. Okie.. Talked long enuff.. 9-5 tml.. Home to Tampines after that.. Then for swimming..

I think I'm addicted to the photocopier at work.. Most ppl dread the job of photocopying but I think it's quite fun.. Haha.. I must be mad..

Working 830am to 430pm tml.. Love morning shift! Dinner at Mind's Cafe after that.. Wonder where it is.. Nv heard of it before.. I just paid $53.20 for 2 boxes of mooncakes.. Xin Tia.. But the Box and Bag is nice.. Have to lug them all the way to driving lesson on Friday.. Haha..

Different shift from Sandy this whole week.. Started at 12pm today meaning I can sleep late on Sunday.. =D Helped Asha bring her biscuits to the office and off to the canteen for lunch.. Haha.. Can you believe it? I start work at 12 and eat lunch at 12.. Haha..

Wanted to give Rebecca my I/C but forgot to photocopy.. Oh well.. Back to the office.. But there were no reservations slips to be keyed in..Haha.. Such a miracle.. Even Asha said so.. And I came up with a new name for Brenda & Sandy; Brandy.. =p And it was time for the weekly routine of clearing out the filing drawer.. As usual, Sandy and I had to do it but the office boy, Yilong came to help us.. Haha.. So the 3 of us sat at the long long table and took our own sweet time sorting them out..

Some photocopying and keying in.. Learnt how to answer telephone reservations today.. Then helped Gina changed all the rates for some travel agents to new ones.. I'm learning alot.. Haha.. 8pm! Knock off! Waited for Rai to leave too.. Didn't know she worked for MM for 8 years liaoz.. Hungry.. Stopped over at 7-11 to get a donut and a bottle of Mango Juice.. Home to watch the last epi for the Joanne Peh show.. I'm so gonna catch that new Rui En drama! It looks cool.. Haha..

Heard some noises outside my house just now and MSN my mum about it.. She told me to just ignore them.. But I told her I have the 2 dogs, Ah Foo & Snoopy to protect me.. Guess what she replied me? "Those 2 dogs are just toys.." Haha.. They are not toys lah.. They are just 2 very tamed dogs that don't bark at strangers much let bite them.. Haha..

Now I finally realise how precious an OFF day is.. Haha.. Slept in the whole morning.. Chilli Crab for lunch.. My grandma specially cooked it since I came home.. =D

To the shops with my father to buy a small table for my room in Aljunied.. But the shops were closed.. Too bad.. Fetched my mum home after that.. Wanted to catch the 145pm No Reservations at GVTM but it was too late so did some clearing up at home.. Decided that it was quite boring went to watch the 410pm No Reservations.. Haha.. Very good movie.. Just that I kept wondering why there is a lobster on the grill in every single kitchen scene.. And also the young girl looks more suited to act in horror movies.. You know the "Dakota Fanning" type of girl? Yeah.. Haha.. The song you're listening in my blog right now is from the scene when Catherine-Z Jones and Aaron Eckhart got tgt and they brought that girl out and took pics in the photobooth..

So that was how I spent my OFF day.. Pretty boring right? Haha.. Back to the hotel tml.. But working mid shift so I can sleep late.. Haha.. Maybe I'll watch some dramas.. Did a few collages today on the Orangs Chalet..

I'm finally starting to enjoy my SIP after such a boring week.. Haha.. Seriously.. Shift from 9am to 5pm today.. Reached the office only to realise the staff do not have to wear uniforms to work on Saturdays.. Sandy and I looked like idiots cos we weren't allowed to come in casual clothes.. Haha..

Usual filing again.. But we did it very slowly this time cos there was very little to do on a Saturday.. Brenda (Sandy's trainer) & Asha (My trainer) were also so slack.. Haha.. Came up with nicknames for all the staff there.. Almost fell asleep watching Asha key in the reservations but I think she realised it too and started talking to me.. Haha.. Left for lunch tgt with her, Sandy and Suzie.. Haha.. And the four of us talked alot.. Really alot.. I think Suzie's a cool mum.. Haha..

Ironic Incident.. Our staff canteen is split btw Non- Muslim & Muslim.. Now being the Ramadan month, there is a signage stating that the Muslim side is strictly for Muslim ppl oni (Normally, everybody could take the food).. But since it was the Ramadan month and the Muslim are not supposed to eat during lunch, why do they even bother cooking? And they have trays and trays of food too.. *Not trying to offend anybody just that I think that if food is not being eaten, why bother cooking and wasting them right?

Back to the office for more keying in.. Was so bored since Asha didnt have work for me to do.. We had a good laugh over the ages of some guests checking in.. Haha.. So went to help Suzie photocopy some stuff and did more filing.. Then Ming Fa needed some guests's reservation form and we had to dig it out from piles of paper starting from 12 August - 17 August 2007.. Not easy but at least it's challenging.. Haha.. Eliana came up with an English name for me.. She said since Sandy is called Sandy.. I would be called Beach.. You get it? Sandy Beach.. Haha..

Back to my Tampines House after 1 week.. Happy.. Haha.. Went swimming with my parents and 2 sisters at CBC.. Swam 20 laps.. =D Ate a small pizza with a Choc milkshake.. So sleepy now.. Talked to WL and Sarah on MSN just now.. The part about the locker room was quite funny to me.. Haha.. And Ah Ma, chicken essence nice hor? Haha.. Drink more ah..

Got ready for work abit too fast and was left with about 30 mins.. Decided to pop over to Rebecca's office with Cherie and Sandy to check on the status of our application for a rotation of departments.. Was half expecting her not to receive my email since her email add was just a copy of Pearl Lim's.. Pretty hard to explain though.. However, she could actually rmb me sending her an email.. Cool.. But she's forwarded it to some Ms. Kwa who would be the one to decide.. Hopefully it goes thru..

Started the usual filing again.. The office is colder nowadays.. Left for a very hearty lunch and decided to take an after lunch walk around the hotel lobby.. Back to work.. Keyed in a few more other reservations today.. Sandy disappeared for almost 2 hours and I realised afterwards that she was helping Suzie to search for some customer's file.. I then disappeared for another 3 hours to help Ming Fa draw lines on his book.. I had to draw all the way to 2010.. Learnt how to key in internet reservations..

Met my father after work at Heeren and we walked to Centrepoint for dinner.. Cherie and Sandy came along too.. Settled for some noodleshop.. Then my father left for some place and the 3 of us decided to walk to Cineleisure as I was craving for Subway's cookies.. =p We bought 12.. It was kinda sad to see ppl having Friday nightlife while we had work tml.. Sianz.. I seriously need to find another part time job in the hotel to kill off the boring night life.. Banqueting sounds good.. Haha..

SIP's Boring~!

Internship has been really tiring thus far.. Maybe cos I'm not used to working 6 days a week.. Or izzit maybe that I also get to have 10 hours of sleep everyday? Haha..

Tuesday- 1st Day at Reservations.. 10am shift but reached at 845am.. The good thing about the lockers in Meritus is that uniforms can be hung in them meaning no ironing needed.. =D And if you ever have to wash your uniform, the laundry department will do that for you.. Double =D.. Put on tons on makeup and gel thinking the HOD would be strict.. And also ensuring that not a single strand of hair was out of place..

Started off with reading some training manuals.. I think I'll need 10 Days to devour all that info.. The HOD advised us to transfer into Front Office after 2 months.. Hmm.. Maybe I'll talk to Rebecca about it.. Worth considering.. I don't even mind F&B.. Haha.. Lunch after that in the "Prison Plate" place.. Haha.. Saw Cherie and Shimin.. 1 hr lunch break rocks becos it means I can eat slowly and slack.. But we're also not allowed to go out during this period..

Back to Reservations.. Was made to do some filing which took 4 hours.. Got attached to a senior staff, Asha who received the most obnoxious phone calls ever.. Haha.. Learnt abit of the system.. Off work at 6pm.. Home for dinner after that.. Mum came over with SJ to get some stuff.. Walked Ah Foo downstairs at the park..

Wednesday- Filing in the morning again.. Took 2 hours this time.. =D Sat beside Asha for a while before going to lunch.. Saw Cherie again.. Happy Belated! Slacked and slacked.. Sandy does not dare to eat the Prison Plate Lunch.. Hmm.. Wonder why.. Back to reservations and this time got to do some keying in of the reservations.. So many travel agents, so many rooms, so many forms! Do you guys know that MM can be sued for seriously contributing to Global Warming? My God! The amount of paper they used is extraordinary.. And they dump paper like nobody's business.. Xin Tia.. And did I ever mention the amount of highlighter they used too? Goodness..
Home for dinner after that.. Went to Harbourfront to meet Yanqi, Jie Ping and Junwei.. Crapped and laughed esp at the Friendster part.. Haha.. Home after that.. Watched abit of TV and crashed..

Thursday- Filing once again.. Made friends with the HOD's office boy who is also of the same age.. Wonder why he wanted to take up an office job as part time.. Hmm.. Nvm.. Lunch after that with the colleagues from Reservations.. Got to know them a little better.. Major keying in of Reservations after Lunch.. Learnt more this time.. Did abit of photocopying for them too.. Not a bad day.. Haha..

Okie.. Just for everybody's info.. MM's Reservations Department opens from 830am to 8pm.. So that means I'll be doing office hours.. Hmm.. Hoping to be able to find a part time F&B job in any of MM's restaurants to kill off the evenings and earn some extra bucks.. Banqueting could be fun.. Off on Sunday which is quite ok.. But its the end of the week.. =( Internet coming tml which means I don't have to travel all the way to Paya Lebar to use the wireless.. =D

Hehe.. Feeling really jolly right now cos I'm able to tap onto the wireless in the SingPost Mac.. So now I can blog.. Ppl all around me are having some sales and marketing promotions.. Having a really giddy feeling now due to that Meritus lift.. Will tell u all more about it later..

Almost sleepless night ytd from all that tossing and turning on a new bed.. And the MRT was so noisy.. Gosh.. My great-grandma bought Chee Cheong Fun for my breakfast and my grandma walked me to the MRT.. Hehe.. Met Cherie, Weilun and Sandy at Somerset MRT and headed to Meritus in that pouring rain.. Stood outside the staff entrance and waited for the other MM ppl to arrive.. Some were in semi-formal and others were in casual..

Down to the training room for briefing.. Was made to fill up lots and lots of forms.. Had my name spelled wrong on my itinerary.. There was a free flow of biscuits and hot beverages.. Had a presentation on the hotel, got our locker numbers and nametags and then proceeded to the Uniform Department to get our uniforms.. I thot that the Meritus Club's Butler's Uniform is really cool- Blouse, Skirt, Vest, Tie and Blazer.. Mine was a pink blazer and skirt..

Lunch Time- 1 Staff Meal per day.. I think the quantity is not bad.. Unlimited Rice, Drinks, Soup, Beverages and Salads.. Haha.. Quite nice too.. Back to the room for more waiting and waiting.. Headed to the locker room to put our uniforms in first.. I'm going to die fiddling the lock.. Haha.. Then it was the tour of the hotel.. I think MM has great rooms and F&B outlets but the back of house and swimming pool sux.. Haha.. The lobby and banquet rooms are good too.. Went to Top of the M to see the view.. And realised that we have 30% discount at all F&B outlets in MM.. =D But we had to take the lift from B1 to 35 Storey to 5 Storey to 37 Storey to 1 Storey.. My God.. My head is spinning now.. Haha..

Ok.. I'm now watching Zac Efron singing "Bet on It" on Disney Channel.. HSM 2 rocks! Haha.. The whole day's been filled with HSM music videos from all over the world and HSM behind the scenes.. And they're going to show the diferent versions of the songs too.. Can't wait for them.. Haha..

Went out with my Dad today to sign up for an internet account.. Finally found my OP cloth slippers.. Can't stand the Havannas type of material.. They cause blisters.. Okie.. Going to move in to my Aljunied house after HSM 2.. No internet until Friday.. But mayb I'll be desperate enuff to travel to SingPost to use the wireless there.. =D

Meritus starts tml.. I'm pretty nervous and excited.. It's going to be a long 5 months but I'm planning to make the most of it.. Trainees don't get treated nice but I guess it's all part and parcel of growing up isn't it? Haha.. Ok.. So Goodbye "Student Life", Hello "Cheap Labour"!

I will still support HSM despite all the news about Vanessa Anne Hudgens being in that nude photo shoot.. Tml's the premiere of HSM 2 and I can't wait! Plus alot of behind the scenes before that.. I'm gonna stay glued to my TV Screen.. Haha..

Went to St 21 to get my court shoes cos I didn't want my feet to decompose at work.. My mum told me to get leather but I told her my feet would decompose even faster.. Haha.. Then it was to Eastpoint for more shopping.. Had Mr. Bean ice cream before that.. Couldn't finish it though.. Haha..

Home for more Drama watching then it was for abit of nap.. Finished a book that I've been reading for weeks.. Then it was to meet Edwin, Willy & Xinyi for dinner at Bugis Steamboat again since Willy's heading into NS and it was sort of a farewell dinner for him.. Ate lots of prawns.. They wanted dessert at that shop but it was full so we headed to TCC instead.. Ordered a Mango Yogurt Drink since the whole world knows I don't drink coffee.. =D Chatted about some stuff that I've forgotten then it was Balik Kampung for us..

To YQ: I know it's going to be a hard and tiresome journey for you but you gotta press on.. It's not going to be easy leaving a place that you once had feelings for.. Yes, I may not be there now but believe me, you can still find me and chat whenever you need it.. People are going to be upset about you leaving but I'm sure that you know how to make the correct decision.. You don't have to care about those ppl that you find irritating or disturbing.. Be strong.. =D

Sentosa Chalet + 307 Dinner~!

Just one more weekend to the DAY.. HSM 2 is premiering too! Whee! But I haven't bought my court shoes yet.. Haha.. My feet are going to decompose.. Maybe I'll be crippled from falling off the escalator first.. Haha.. I'm in a good mood today.. Whee!

Wednesday- Headed to HbFront to buy Cherie's cake from Swissbake.. All of them looked good, but I settled for Double Brownie Cheesecake.. Bought lunch for Xiaomei & Alverina.. Met the Orangs at the MRT station and we went Giant to shop for snacks, cup noodles and drinks.. To Sentosa after that to check in for the chalet.. Saw Uncle Simon again.. Haha.. It was a brilliantly sunny day.. Saw a couple of the Luge ppl outside Coffeebean; Dinz still rmb me.. Muahaha..

The chalet entrance is so inaccessible.. The front entrance is pratically a 15 mins walk from Underwater World thru a forest and the back entrance from the beach needs a card to be accessed and we have to climb 2 storeys to reach it.. Furthermore, the receptionist is rude.. I don't like ppl pointing at me and telling me, "Now I let you do this but next time cannot already".. I'm not your student ok?

The room on the 3rd level and it was tiny.. Imagine 11 ppl squeezing into a tiny room but it was cosy.. Haha.. Settled down, watched abit of TV and we split into 2 groups- Tanning Gang & Cycling Gang.. I of cos joined the Cycling Gang since I don't like tanning without water.. So to Koufu with Xianglin, Shaun, Sandy and Huiying for late lunch.. The Koufu ppl still gave me a discount even though my TAS card expire liaoz.. Haha..

Bought 2 Super Big Gulps for the Tanning Gang and my NETS card failed.. Scared the hell out of me thinking somebody must have robbed me of all my money in the bank and that I don't even have $6.. Rented our bikes and cycled along the beach.. We ignored the "No through road. Please do not enter" sign at Underwater World and continued cycling and almost crashed into the dead end.. Haha..


Back to meet the Tanning Gang for some Frisbee game and the pair that threw and caught the frisbee successfully were exempted from the forfeit.. Haha.. Huiying and Xuemin were the only pair that couldn't.. Haha.. Headed back to the room to shower and to get ready to leave to meet 307 at Vivo.. Everybody was going to be late so I just nua-ed in the chalet and watched some TV.. Waited for Sarah to finish work and we played a childish game hiding from the others.. Haha..

Nobody wanted to decide where to eat so we ended up outside Secret Recipe and while waiting for the waitress to prepare our table for us, I told them the reason why Secret Recipe is called Secret Recipe and everybody wanted to leave asap.. Haha.. Ayuni was feeling so guilty.. Finally decided on White Dog Cafe.. Pleasant and quiet environment.. We were afraid we would ruin the atmosphere in the restaurant and be thrown out.. Haha..

Shared a main course with Sarah since neither of us were really hungry.. Took some pics and finally caught up.. It was wondeful finally meeting all of them again.. We could still crap and talk like during school days.. They are definitely the reason why Year 3 had been so fun.. Haha.. Got teased again.. Couldn't believe they still could rmb about that MSN conversation eons ago.. Haha.. But the night's conversation were quite.. hmm.. R21? Haha..

To the rooftop on the pretext of taking pics but it was actually to give Cherie a birthday surprise.. Haha.. So, Sarah and Beilin went with her to Daiso while I headed back to GV to get the cake from the fridge.. Saw Ms Goh who wanted to kill me with the knife.. Haha.. Borrowed a lighter from Rashidah who thot I was smoking.. Err.. Back to the rooftop to set up the cake with Weilun and Ayuni.. Then just waited for the birthday girl to come out.. Sang her a birthday song and took pics.. Haha..


They went home and I went to catch the Express back only to realise that the card is one time entry only so another $3 gone.. Diaoz.. The bus driver driving the minibus around the beach offered to send me back to Costa Sands even though it was out of his route.. I'm so lucky.. Haha.. Some of them were playing mahjong on the ground while others just watched TV.. Played one round of mahjong and they wanted to go for nightwalk.. And we took lots of crazy pics which I find quite artistic esp the emo one.. Will post them up when I get them from Sandy.. Walked from our resort to TAS and back again.. The Merlion looks scary at night without lights..

Back to the room for another shower.. It was my 4th time that day.. And we all had cup noodles after that.. =D Decided to find myself a corner near the wadrobe and sleep since the 2 beds could nv hold 11 of us.. Haha.. Some of them were playing games again but I seriously could not keep up with their unlimited bounds of energy so it was good night and off to La La Land.. Haha.. Got woken up halfway as they wanted my poker cards and UNO.. Xianglin wanted to paint my nails while I was asleep.. Lucky I woke up in time.. Haha..

Left the chalet around 8+ and had to walk out the long way.. Everybody was sleepwalking the whole way then a very friendly van driver offered to drive us out to Vivo.. Lifesaver! Aren't we lucky? Haha.. The rest of them went to Mac for breakfast while Sandy and I left first since she had work and I needed to go home to move my stuff to my Great- Grandma's house.. The MRT back for empty so I could sleep all the way back.. =D

Asked my Grandma to wake me up at 12 but instead I woke up at 230.. Started packing my stuff.. Think I still had lots of stuff back at home but I could still bring them on Sunday.. So off to my new house for 5 months.. A brief intro of the place.. It's in Aljunied.. There's oni my Great Grandma and her maid there.. There are 2 dogs.. Lastly, there's no internet.. =( But I'm planning to psycho my Grand uncle to set one up.. Haha.. But there's a mahjong table so I can now have mahjong sessions.. The SCV's quite limited too but not like I have the time to watch it anyway.. Haha..

To Suntec for dinner with my family.. Wanted Country Manna but it was no longer there so we went to some hotpot restaurant instead that allows us to have 3 types of soup at one go.. =D Only the Mala was nice though.. Still prefer Chong Qin.. Haha.. I think I'm going to have that on Saturday again.. I love soup! Then we headed to Andersen's for dessert.. But I still like Ben's & Jerry's.. Strawberry Cheesecake! =D

Today was my last day in GV before my LTL of 5 months.. It's a sad feeling definitely.. 1 Year 2 Months 19 Days.. I haven't been away from a job for such a long time.. Recolleting back, it's been eventful at GV..

GVTM

17 June 2006- Jennifer interviewed me for the job.. My 1st Day at GVTM.. Box.. Trainer: Li Ting.. She was a good trainer teaching me the procedures etc. Amber closed my first ever counter.. She was not known to me as Ah Ma at that time.. Haha.. Down $69 and I keyed almost all the vouchers wrongly.. Oops! Next day at Box again, Amber closed my counter again.. Down $59.. ZzZzZ.. Haha.. 3rd Day- Up $50 CCard.. Ho ho ho.. Well, Box training lasted for close to a month.. Syarizal, my best GVTM buddy since we started almost at the same time at the same station.. Haha..

Candybar Training up next.. Trainer: Din.. It was such a frightful station.. Couldn't even scrub the sweet popper on the 1st day.. The closing was scary too.. Don't even know how I even made it thru that station.. Haha.. Kachang and Remote training up next.. I absolutely loved these 2 stations cos I like making sweetcorn and packing nachos.. Finally, my Floor Training! That station was fun! I loved being assigned to float L1/L2.. Rayne was still a training mgr at that time and the both of us were assigned to stand at the usher point to catch outside food.. Haha..

The time came when Jennifer asked for ppl to be transferred to Vivo.. I agreed since I was starting school at TAS at that time.. So off I went to Vivo.. Still rmb we had to go for courses and typhoid jabs to prepare us for Vivo.. Heard alot of hype about the biggest shopping mall in Singapore and GV's largest cinema- 15 Screens! Kinda excited..

GV Vivo Training Days

All the new Vivo staff gathered outside Telok Blangah House on the 1st Training Day.. Everybody were still in their cliques of their old locations.. The only other GV staff outside of GVTM I knew was Alverina.. Haha.. Went into Vivo at was awed by the magnificance of GV Vivo.. It was huge, classy, exciting and seriously cool! Only those who has seen GVVC before it has opened will understand that grand feeling it gave me.. Went to Cinema Europa for the briefing.. We were all seperated into different stations to train for the opening.. Was assigned to Box.. The various mgrs were introduced.. Ling Ling- Floor I/C.. Lynn- Candybar I/C.. Bernard- Box I/C.. Jay- Kitchen I/C.. Fion- Gold Class I/C.. Ms Goh- GVVC CM..

The 1st few days were super duper fun! We could walk around without socks on and could print out as many tickets as we wanted too.. CB also had to cook hotdogs for practice and we could also take one if we wanted too.. The floor staff were going around greeting everybody, "Good Morning! Welcome to GV Vivocity!" Everybody was equally excited.. Furthermore, we were all allowed to watch a movie in GC everyday so as to give the GC Staff practice.. Staff would come to Box to buy tickets from us as practice.. We were also allowed to order practically anything off the menu just as long we could finish them.. Was awed at the wonder of Gold Class.. It was so luxurious.. Some mgrs from other locations were also transferred to train.. Only can rmb a handful- Amber, Jaslyn, Siew Yan, Eileen, Nicholas, Yong Wen.. Imagine the mgrs in GC Uniform.. Haha..

Had to do a few quizzes to test our knowledge and we were rewarded with comp passes if we scored well.. Haha.. The station with the worse results had to paste stickers on their faces and walk around the whole day.. Then it was the Media Day for GVVC.. The media from all over would be coming to do reviews and report on the new cinema.. Ambassadors were chosen to represent each cinema.. Was chosen to represent GV Max along with Chris.. Still rmb the ambassadors had to stand in front of all the staff and recite their knowledge on their respective cinemas.. And it was so boring on that day.. Practically stood there and nua.. Haha.. Didn't talk to Ms Goh thruout the training days cos she was always so busy.. And Jay doing her "This is my Kitchen Team" talk.. Haha.. Didn't even dare talk to the other mgrs maybe only Bernard since he was at GVTM for a while.. Training days soon came to an end and Vivo was about to open..

GV Vivo

Fun workplace! Lots of interesting stuff happening all the time.. Should mention only the more memorable ones.. Haha..

Silly 3- Silliest= Sheng Long, Siller= Eunice & Silly= Me! They were the best working buddies ever.. I can always count on them to solve any problems or to have the craziest work day ever.. Miss the times when we would take pictures and SL will do his crazy stunts.. The pics I love most would be the ones with Happy Feet & COTGF.. And the times we would do Europa tgt.. However, Silliest & Siller soon left GV for other opportunities.. The fun times went away with them too..

Failure 5- Xiao Fu= Jie Ping, Fat Fat= Sharon, Xiao Xing= Yong Xing, Qiqi- Yanqi & Wang Wang= Me! They are also my craziest bunch of working buddies who love to catch the first train home and eating supper.. Haha.. We love eating Jumbo too and taking pics.. I'm the first one to leave this time..

Entering GC- One of the most memorable days.. Entering GC for the very first time.. Got pulled up tgt with Junwei for training.. Learnt lots of stuff in there and it was really cool to be working GC.. Different kind of cinema exp.. But kept wanting to go back down to Trad during the 1st few months.. Haha.. Gold Class motto- 天蹋下来，还有 manager 在.. =p

Vivo Staff Party- Fun night! Received some comp passes that night for having good attendance or something.. The buffet part was funny.. Non-halal food was ordered so KFC had to be called in for the Muslims.. The tables the buffet was on crashed halfway thru and all the food was gone! Haha.. And it was Amber who was standing closest to it.. I kept blaming her.. Haha.. And Micheal doing his "It's your job" talk..

Managers- Bernard, Lynn, Ling Ling, Fion, Jay, Ms Goh, Nicholas, Jaslyn, Colleen, Amber and Jaslyn.. You guys were fun to work with.. I learnt quite a number of things during this time too.. Bernard- Fun manager who can be counted on.. Lynn & Ling Ling- my 2 师姐s who like to tekan me.. Fion- the one who gave me the chance to work in GC.. =D Jay- also another fun manager who likes to run here and there.. Ms Goh- Humble yet super hardworking manager.. Nicholas- Our funny Mr Bean.. Jaslyn & Colleen- Our ECs who like to pack popcorn with us.. Amber- our GVVC's Ah Ma.. I gave her that nickname and she's been called that ever since.. Haha.. Jaslyn- Our CB Pro.. Popper is always safe..

Just rmb that I cleared my locker on Sunday after work.. It's a sad feeling.. Tml will be the day.. I'll be sad.. Most prob will be after I close my Box counter for the last time.. I'm going to type up an entry tml dedicated to GV..

Have to finish up that compo that we each have to prepare for the chalet.. It's called "不要爱上我".. Haha.. Maybe I'll post it up when I'm done.. It's difficult to type in Chinese.. Haha..

Was the earliest to reach work today.. Schedule wrote: 915am; I was there at 830am.. =p But truth be told, today is actually my last day at CB.. =(

Tried to set up CB but no keys so there was minimal that I could do.. Tables and chairs needed to be set up by 9am.. No floor staff so Yan Wan went around with some guy from Box carrying tables and chairs from GV Max down the escalator to opposite CB then the organisor had a change of plans and wanted us to set up outside GV Max instead so me and that Box guy gave each other that "Urgh!" look and carried the tables and chairs up again.. The organisor's reason: I scared my 100 people will flood your foyer.. ZzZzZ..

Other than that, it was pretty ok today.. Had a trainee but didn't really bother much about him since he pretty much could do everything liaoz.. Rashidah told me he sold a customer a $3 popcorn.. Haha.. Went to relieve the Box staff while they went for lunch.. The membership pop up box is irritating.. And 2 groups of patrons argued in front of my counter blaming each other for cutting q.. I just stood there and let them sort it out themselves.. Haha..

Ratouille back at TM.. Practically rushed back from Vivo.. The movie is cute~! And the food is so life like.. The kitchen hierachy related so much to the fine dining kitchen that we learnt about in school.. My sister said that the guy had a funny name- Alfredo Linguini.. It's a pasta name actually.. Haha.. Blue rats are cute.. =D Maybe one day, I'll wake up and see Kimtaro and Kotaro cooking breakfast for me.. Haha..

Again, it's my last day at CB and definitely I'm pretty sad.. It's actually the station where I work at most often.. A number of things that I would definitely miss:-

1) The wars that we fight during sessions times with the queues line all the way to the doors.
2) The constant shortage of hotdogs, cheese and popcorn.
3) The sweet popper throwing tandrums and spitting out popcorn into our eyes.
4) The messy messy CB.
5) The never ending cleaning during closing.
6) Packing nachos and cheesy hotdogs and not forgetting, popcorn.
7) And many more (I'll feel them in when I rmb them)

Friday: Reached work pretty early ytd.. Pretty normal morning with all the setting up of tables and chairs, changing posters, moving standees, fixing up tensile barriers.. And I wiped the cupholders for the entire GV MAX.. Many movies ended earlier than normal.. Had to wear that stupid hat again.. Nvm.. Just have to wear it 2 more times.. The GV Membership is good for patrons but not for us.. Buy tickets, have to scan in membership card details- Result: Jam Q.. Buy popcorn, get free coke, must copy membership number (and mind you the number is 8 digits)- Result: Jam Q.. In the end, kana complain again.. Shit man.. Worse more is now each box office counter have INDIVIDUAL queue lines.. Result: Patrons come up to us and go "Shit you!" And as if we're not busy enuff as it is, they choose to let ppl start collecting their membership cards on a SATURDAY.. Whatever lah..

Chilli Crab session ytd after work.. Plaza Singapura for light dinner before that.. Ate Gelare waffles and ice cream.. Walked to Heeren, shopped a while then to Vila'ge for drinks and took the train to Newton.. Could only board the train on the 3rd attempt and mind you, we each took individual doors.. Ordered quite a number of dishes but they all came in like in courses.. The Chilli Crab and Mantou were like the grand finale or something.. Emo-ed on the taxi home.. Looked thru some old photos before sleeping, cried abit.. I miss them.. Not telling..

Saturday: To TM before lunch to buy tickets for 2 movies.. It was bloody 11am already and there were only 2 bloody counters opened- 1 Booking and 1 Normal.. The bloody Q was lining all the way to the entrance of Ajisan and only 2 bloody counters were opened.. People were complaining out loud and so was I.. Halfway, the mgr at the Booking Q had to go attend to some delivery guy and there was only 1 bloody counter left open attending to both booking and normal patrons with the addition of people coming to collect their membership cards.. Win already lor.. Stood in the bloody Q for a bloody 20 mins.. I agree with another patron behind me who was complaining very loudly, "GV has a movie at 1105am and it is a popular show somemore and they open 2 counters only.. What the hell are they thinking sia?" It's absolutely true.. It's 11am on a Saturday and you have popular movies (881, Ratatouille, Hairspray) and yet you open only 2 bloody counters.. Deserved to be complained against..

Now for happier words.. Met Zhi Jun at Pasir Ris to pass her the discs then decided to go walk walk and ended up at Plaza Singapura again.. The centre area was having some High School Musical special and selling HSM stuff.. There were also 2 TV screens airing some HSM Behind the Scenes Special.. Bought 2 notebooks and a file.. *Smile* Lots of other stuff I wanted to buy too- HSM Plates, HSM Serviattes, HSM Stationery, HSM Book holders.. Walked around a while more and headed home.. To Toys'R'us back at TM to buy more HSM Stuff.. Bought 2 book holders.. =D
