Mangy Moose + Paxton!

Hello all!

It's payday! Whoo hoo! That continuous 9 days of work was well worth it.. But I have another 9 days shift for these 2 weeks.. Lots of people leaving and the resort is closing so more hours to work. Not that I'm complaining.. I just spent a bomb on my airticket to the UK.. =p

Anyway, last week my OFF day was switched from Thursday to Tuesday then back to Thursday and finally back to Tuesday.. -.-' But it's good cos I got to meet with Yinyin and Peiting to plan our vacation..

We whipped this hearty family lunch up.. I boiled the soup and made the corn.. Yinyin fried the kimchi fried rice while Peiting did the veggies and egg..

Felix came and delivered my new car.. It was a really worthy purchase.. He pumped petrol, installed snow tires (which are super expensive) and gave me all his cleaning supplies etc. And thanks to Yinyin, he sold the car to me for only US$1300.. =) And so, we planned and booked a couple of things.. Now what's left are only the train tickets, London & Paris hotels, car rental and Walt Disney World tickets..

So before dinner, we took a drive out to the entrance of Grand Teton National Park..

We thought it wasn't cold and only wore thin sweaters out..

I think we were out for only 15 mins before heading back into the car.. Muahaha!

Initially, we wanted to dine at the Q Roadhouse which was kinda located between Jackson and Teton Village but in the end, we headed back to Teton Village to dine at the Mangy Moose.. And snow showers hit us real hard for the next 2 days.. But I'm just grateful that we aren't hit by floods and blizzards like North Dakota..

Ho ho! My new car!

They had lovely disposable menus..

And the decor and ambience was just top notch..

Took these pictures while waiting for the food to come..

Appetizer No. 1: Shrimp with cocktail sauce.. Heavenly! Tasted it for the first time when the Westbank Grill had extras from their Ocean Harvest Buffet.. And did you know? The prawns here do not have heads and shells! I've never seen one with them before since 2 months ago..

Appetizer No. 2: Spicy Moose Wings! I didn't know moose had wings.. =p

Yeah!

Hello!

Main Course No. 1: Burger! Juicy and yummy!

Main Course No. 2: Idaho Trout!

Main Course No. 3: Chicken Pot Pie!

And for dessert, we shared this ice cream sundae..

Whoo Hoo!

And the different skis that date back to long long time ago.. How do people ski with such thin and non secured skis? Geez..

And the snow shower hit us with a fresh blanket of snow again.. Just when you thought that Spring was here.. -.-'

I didn't drive my car to work that day and the snow accumulated like crazy.. It took me 20 mins of brushing and pouring water on the windscreen to clear away the snow this morning.. It's like an adventure going to work everyday I tell you.. And the most adventurous part, driving on the other side of the road! =) So now I'll do proper introductions..

Everybody, meet Paxton! He's my second most precious thing after Caden.. I'm still trying to remove that dragon sticker on my windscreen and cleaning up the car by putting air fresheners and tissue paper.. Please keep in mind that it used to belong to a guy so it reeks.. =p Next up would be to put in some cushions, pretty headrests and probably get my Grandma to mail an amulet over..

Paxton is a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire!

Oh, and I think I forgot to mention.. Paxton is a sports car! =)

Ok! I'm off to bed! Good Night everyone! =) P.S. I think the song playing now represents my heartfelt feelings right now..

Blu Kitchen!

Hello all!

Supposed to get my car today but Felix was stuck up in Idaho Falls so I'm only going to get it tomorrow.. Anyway, made plans with Deborah and Monica to have dinner tonight..

Feels like Autumn doesn't it? Haha.. Oh, and by the way, just when you thought it was Spring, it started snowing today again.. -.-'

A highly recommended restaurant- Blu Kitchen.

Saw a Mr. Quack on the way there. The restaurant was just like a 5 min walk from where I live.

I just felt this archway was very artistic. Haha.

Blur. =(

Couldn't decide what to eat so just ordered whatever they recommended was the best. Haha.

Deborah had a glass of white wine while Monica had a cocktail. And me, green tea because I'm underage. Muahaha! 4 more months to 21! And just 9 more years to 30! Noooooo..

Forgot what this was call but the salt was nice.

Deborah's Spicy Tuna.

Both Monica and I ordered Veggie Tempura. Almost couldn't finish. All fried stuff and big portions as well.

Deborah and Monica!

Deborah's heading back home to Vancouver in April. =(

And Monica's my trainer in FSJH. Very good trainer.

Alright, main courses. Red Deer with shitake mushrooms and cherries.

Bison Sausage.

Kobe Beef.

And the main attraction that we came here for, their giant size cookie with ice cream! Blissfully sinful.

And the design and decor of the restaurant was just excellent.

And I took this picture from their website.

And it was dark when we left. I think we sat in the restaurant for almost 3 hours talking, eating and watching Youtube videos. Haha.

Monica drove me home and it took us only about 1 min. Haha. Ok! Time for bed! Yinyin and Peiting are coming over to cook lunch and plan our Europe + US trip. And Felix is gonna deliver the car tomorrow too. Busy busy day! Bye Bye!
