Off to Perth!

Hello all!

I've pathetically run out of internet in my room so I'm now using the one in the computer lab to do up this entry.. Haha..

So happy to see this article on the web.. Twilight grossed $69.6 million in cinemas! Just look at the wide difference between its box office sales and Quantum of Solace! A whopping $42.9 million difference! Haha..

And everybody's favourite wizard is back! Well, not exactly.. In July 2009 actually.. Haha.. If you look at the second poster, it actually stated 11.2008.. Well actually, it was originally supposed to come out in November 2008 but it got pushed back 8 months to lessen the competition because November is the prime month for movies in the US and UK..

And two TVB artistes have just released their new albums..

Evolve- Myolie Wu.. The songs are nice but only 4 out of 8 of them are new while the rest are either pre- release in other albums or have been circulating the internet for a long time already..

Wong Cho Lam- Cho Lam Everywhere.. I don't think many people know him and I myself was particularly surprised that he released an album.. He won Best Newcomer in the most recent TVB 41st Anniversary Award.. He has a really good voice and can do anything from acting to hosting and now to singing..

Ingrid's Farewell

Hello all!

Ingrid left for Melbourne about an hour ago to do her internship at the Crowne Plaza Melbourne.. So this afternoon we had a little farewell lunch with her..

Saw them setting this huge Christmas tree up right outside Hilton.. Hope it'll get lighted up soon! Haha.. We headed to Wah Hing for lunch after hearing so many good recommendations..

The food took forever to arrive so we pre- occupied ourselves with taking pictures.. Haha..

So the food overall was very nice but the service was so slow.. Oh well.. Went to walk around Chinatown for a while and went home after that..

After dinner, we went back to our unit to open Ingrid's bottle of Rose Moet & Chandon Champagne.. The box is so pretty! I think I'll keep it since no one wants it..

Celine said something really funny to Ingrid when I was taking the picture.. "You (Ingrid) take the picture, I'll be the background".. Haha..

Yes, I really do love the box.. Haha..

I'm gonna miss her so much.. =( No one to speak Cantonese with.. No one to eat instant noodles with golden mushrooms and veggies together on Wednesday mornings.. We became housemates out of luck and chance.. Did the one and only group project together along with Aisah and Paulina.. Shared our thoughts on HK dramas.. And most importantly, went through all the ups and downs of Degree life together..

Just wanna say.. Take Care always! Wishing you all the best in your internship! And hopefully we'll see each other in Sept next year during the graduation ceremony.. =)

Terrorists attacks are on the surge again and this time back in India.. Praying that everything will be ok soon..

And in other weird news, well, you can see it.. Haha.. I think the story sort of went like this.. They dined, ordered the most expensive stuff, went out for a smoke and never came back.. The boss of the restaurant remembered one of them asking about a former waitress and contacted her.. She gave him one of the member's Facebook contact.. They found out where he worked through that and sent the cops after him.. Haha.. End of story..

Anyway, I was browsing through some website and found something interesting about Singapore's weather.. Did you know that back in 1934, Singapore experienced it's coldest temperature ever? It dropped down to a whopping 19.4 degree Celsius! O.o

Oh, and Weiting who's been working at the Luge for the past 3 weeks just told me that Zhong received the EXSA service excellence award! Congrats to him! Haha..

I think Britney Spears' new album, Circus, is nice! =)

Haha.. Yay! The paper was hard as expected.. Now, just praying for a pass in it!


A little joke I found about exams.. The last bubble won't be true though.. Haha..

Anyway, I'll be heading to Perth this Sunday and coming home on Tuesday.. After that it'll probably be a roadtrip to Mount Gambier with the Singaporeans.. Haha.. Holidays, here I come! =)

Brain is like a sponge

Hello all!

You know when they say the brain is like a sponge? It's so true.. Mine's so full of information now that I can't wait till tomorrow to squeeze everything out.. Haha..

Today's paper was like easy? Haha.. Probably cos the lecturer didn't want to waste our time and just gave us the exam questions about 2 weeks ago.. Haha.. I'm not joking.. She really gave us just the exam ques and told us to just study the answers.. And true enough, whatever she gave us really did came out.. Haha.. How cool is that? =) Save time, effort and brain power!

Anyway, tomorrow's paper is Strategic Management.. Truth be told, it is my worse subject ever.. I've only got 36.5/ 60 for the first component so I still need 13.5/40 for the exam to pass the overall subject.. Haha.. But it is an open book examination so yeah.. We were given a case study almost a month ago and were told to go home and analyse it.. Then just bring the answers back to the exam tomorrow and answer the exam paper.. Haha.. But so much preparation to do and no time to study! Argh! Brain power is failing.. Time to shut down and get some sleep..

So, bye bye!

P.S: Freedom starts tomorrow! =)

Wrong Examination Paper!

Hello all!

My brain is threatening to explode.. So much to rmb so little time.. Anyway, first paper today was a hilarious-first-time experience..

10 mins of reading time.. So I opened up the paper only to realised the first question was from a chapter taught in Term 1 (We were supposed to be tested on chapters in Term 2).. I thought it could be something that I missed out while studying so moving on, I slowly realised that the other questions were all from Term 1.. Even the formula sheet was from Term 1.. More students realised the mistake as well and voiced it out to the lecturer..

He saw the formula sheet and commented that it was just an error in the formula sheet and he'll get new ones printed in a minute.. But there were more voices of objection but he just arrogantly replied, "I repeat, there is nothing wrong with the questions! It's just the formula sheet!" But then even more people shouted, "Isn't risk of return and NPV all from Term 1?!"

And the lecturer finally looked through the paper and smiled embarassingly at us.. -.-' The school had printed the wrong examination paper for us! Muahaha! First time in my life! You should have seen the look on my Degree Manager's face.. Black.. Really black.. Haha.. So because of the reprinting of the new exam paper, the entire duration of the exam was delayed by 30mins..

The paper is alright I guess.. Hope it's enough to get a distinction.. Haha.. And after the exam, got back MSTD results.. Overall : 70/100.. Credit.. Argh! 5 more marks to distinction! -.-'

Ok.. Going back to study International Human Resources Management.. Bye Bye!

Exam + Driving Probation + 305 + Averlyn

Hello all!

Exams officially start tomorrow! 3 papers- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.. Finance Management is up first.. Didn't put much effort to study it because I just need 8/100 to pass the module and 58/100 to get a distinction.. Haha.. Anyway, Finance + Me = Cavemen + Computers..


And today marks a very special 1 year anniversary.. I've just passed my driving probation! Haha.. Can't believe that it was just a year ago since the test.. Time to put away the triangle plate! =)

Haha.. I do have wonderful friends don't I? 306 is meeting up next month and they're so out to make me jealous.. =( Haha.. But I still love them.. =)

On, and by the way, courtesy of Amber's friend and Amber herself, I hereby present you her little princess who is turning 1 in just 23 days! Haha..

*Shocked* is the only word.. Haha.. She has grown so much! Esp the hair! OMG!

And in other news, my second sister is off to France tonight for some design competition.. Good Luck! Do us proud! And I still want my Eiffel Tower postcard ok? And my father is off to Guangzhou and Shenzhen tomorrow.. My grandma's in Vietnam now, coming back on Wednesday.. And my 2 younger sisters, brother, Mum and Grandma are off to Korea on 2 Dec.. My maid's going home on 16 Dec.. I have a travel- the- world family.. Haha..

Oh, and I finally talked to my Mum after like 3 weeks? Haha.. Becos she's always so busy with her dancing lessons, Vietnamese class, swimming routine etc. Tsk Tsk Tsk.. Well, at least she's leading a quality life.. =)

Ok.. I think it's quite enough for this post.. I know that a lot of people are having exams during this period as well so good luck everybody! And hope you wish me that too! =)

Bolt + Twilight + Jing Wen's Birthday

It's so cold! Why why why? Where's the warm embrace of summer that the brochures so badly promoted?

Anyway, it was a rather productive day today.. I helped a lot of people today, managed to catch some of the TVB Anniversary Celebrations and studied 2 chapters for my Finance exam.. And gotten myself into further Twilight obsession.. -.-' It opens tomorrow in the US! Hope the box office hits $150 million so that they'll get the green light to film the sequel, New Moon.. I read a news article advising movie- goers to bring ear plugs and to sit six rows away from groups of girls aged 12-15.. Muahaha!

Oh.. There's still a cartoon I'm quite hyped up about.. Bolt! It opens tomorrow too! Singapore only opens on Dec 4 and Australia's even slower, Jan 1.. -.-'

The author, Stefenie Meyer saw this scene before the release and got the director to tone down a little if not there'll be nothing "interesting" to film for the following 3 books.. Muahaha..
