Japan Here I Come!

Hello all!

I'm leaving for Japan in 3 hours time! Be back on 8 May =)

See ya!

The tale of the red chauffeur and the stars

Hello all! I'm trying my best not to sleep right now so I'll be damn exhausted and sleep thruout the plane ride.. Haha.. I dun really like planes.. They have smells in them and I do not eat plane meals.. Wasted right? But I've been traumatic ever since that flight to Australia 3 years ago.. Haha..

Anyway, here are the pics from last night's outing.. The tale of the red chauffeur and Star No. 1 to 4 starting from the first one who boards the star van.. Muahaha..

Yup.. She's the red chauffeur going off to pick up Star No. 4- The tuition teacher. She likes giraffes so she wraps them around her head rest.

Introducing:(from left to right) Star No. 4- The Tuition Teacher; Star No. 2- The Banker (she escaped from Deal or No Deal) and Star No. 3- The Minah Barista. Dunno what they're doing.. They pretended the car was a star van used to be pick up idols from the airport..

The stars were being hounded by crazy fans and thus they had to change transportation to a sky train to escape from them. However, some fanatic fan managed to hop onto the sky train and took a picture of them. Star No. 1- The Air Stewardess seems to be enjoying the spotlight but Star No. 4 seems irritated. The chauffeur is calafare. Dun mind her.

Star No. 1 and the chauffeur takes a picture with Star No. 5- The Executive Chef. He was busy filming a commercial for Fish & Co. called "Seafood of the month!" and thus wasn't available for the photoshoot.

Star No. 2, 3 & 4 decide to take some promotional pictures for their next film titled "The Big Fish".

The stars and the chauffeur toast to their success of their previous film titled "We've Graduated!"

The chauffeur takes a picture with Star No. 1. Now the fish is calafare.

Star No. 1 had a birthday surprise from the other stars & the chauffeur. She just turned 100 years old today and thus the reason for just 1 candle.

Star No. 1 thought that the candle was not long and bright enough to represent her century old life and told the staff to bring her 2 extra ones.

Star No. 1 wishes for success for her new movie.

The stars and chauffeur were afraid of calories and thus they ordered only 1 cake.

The stars take pictures for their crazy fans. The chauffeur calafares again.

Hehe.. Just felt cheeky suddenly and came up with this impromptu short skid.

Happy Birthday Sarah!

Hello all!

A random photo dugged out from somewhere.. Taken during the Chinese New Year visit this year with all the HSC pals.. =)

Anyway, it's been a whole day of driving here and there for me..

Firstly, I sent my sister and brother to the MRT station then I drove the car down to the Aljunied house where I left it there while me & my Grandma took a train down to Bugis to visit the travel agency that my education councellor recommended..

Got a rate for my air ticket and then down to Chinatown to visit my Grandma's friend who works in a travel agency to compare rates.. The Chinatown one was better so I booked myself on it.. Hehe.. Ate lunch at some dumpling restaurant. The food was great but the restaurant had a weird smell..

Went to buy some Singapore souvenirs for my Grandma to bring over to Japan for her Japanese friend.. Took a bus back to Aljunied and drove the car home.. Watched some TVB shows first and headed off to fetch my sister from school..

Next up was to STC to pick Sarah up.. Almost knocked into a taxi while turning into the lane.. Very ULU pandan banana apple orange area sia.. Haha.. But you are officially the first friend to ride in my car without my parents or family on board.. Congrats! No prize though.. =p

Headed off to TP next to meet Cherie & Ayuni to get our Graduation Robes.. The aunty gave me "M" size even though I told her my heels were 2 inches high.. Haha.. Paid and got the robes.. Realised that I still had unpaid library fines so we made our way there.. The school wouldn't let us graduate without paying up the fines sia.. So all TP Grads, please pay your fines ya? =)

Walked down memory lane in Business School and went to the Biz Park for drinks.. Saw Mr. Tan Teck Ming and Mr. Ben Cassim there.. Slack and talked while waiting for Bei Lin's call.. Drove down to her house to pick her up and off we went to Changi Airport for dinner..

Had to park at T1 cos my car couldn't go into the T2 carpark.. Too high.. Settled on Fish & Co. Ordered the Mermaid Freeze which was really sweet even though we added in extra water and a seafood platter.. Had a special surprise for Sarah installed..

Beilin and I excused ourselves to the toilet and called one of the servers to plan the surprise for us.. After eating, I somehow signalled to the server and they came out with a brownie cake and sparkles for the Bday girl.. Haha.. Actually expected her to guess that we were planning a surprise for her but the surprised look on her face told us we succeeded.. Haha..

Sent all of them home after that except for Cherie cos she lived too far and I'll probably get lost on my way back.. Haha.. Made like 2 illegal U-turns and went to pick my sister up from the MRT station after that.. And this ends my entire day.. =) Pics up next time when I got them..

Happy Birthday Sarah! An advanced greeting since I probably won't be here on that day.. =) Hope you liked the surprise! Hehe..

Never work PM shift again..

Hello all!

Sorry I haven't been updating.. Been really busy.. 24 hrs never seem enough.. Haha..

Anyway, I realise working as a ticketing officer at Singapore Flyer is as pek chek as working in box office in GV.. People just don't get what you're trying to tell them.. Seriously.. Changed shift from AM to PM with Huda because she was quite despo for it.. But I so regretted it.. I wish I never have to work the PM shift on a Saturday ever ever again.

There was like a major long queue yesterday.. We were sold out all the way on the 630pm, 7pm, 730pm, 8pm, 830pm, 9pm and 930pm slots.. Now who says Singapore Flyer is not making money? Haha.. So people were like scolding and scolding because they expected to be on the ride at the stipulated time. Well, we told you guys to queue up 30 mins before your timing cos there is security clearance and stuff to go through first.. Oh well.. =)

Something interesting.. The 13 year old son of the OWNER of the Singapore Flyer came to work yesterday.. A young German boy who helped out to give out brochures.. Wonder how much his Dad pays him? I dunno as well.. But I admire the boy for coming out to work.. Goes to show that he is not spolit even though his Dad is like a multi millionaire who owns the Singapore Flyer..

Anyway, something to be quite proud about is that I didn't have any shortage of money at all yesterday even though my sales were like almost $5000+.. Hehe.. I'm notoriously known to be a queen of shortage in money.. =p We had ice cream after work as well.. A treat from one of the supervisors for our hard work..

Okie.. Going off to do some screen captures of my TVB series.. See ya!

Salmon Sashimi & Oysters With Cheese

Hello all! Haven't been out of the house in a while other than for work so I'm pretty hyped up now.. Haha..

Anyway, went to the dentist on Sunday morning as my gums had been aching for the past few days. Seems like I now have 2 additions to my family of teeth and they are called "Wisdom Teeth No. 1 and 2". Haha.. The dentist gave me some medicine to rinse my mouth with and the whole consultation costed $65.. Why is everything so expensive now?

Met Huiying, Lisi, Regina, Shaun & Darren at Parkway Parade today and walked over to East Coast Park for cycling.. Should have driven there but sadly no car.. Rented the bikes for 2 hours for $6 with a complimentary bottle of water (it tasted weird). Cycled upwards and stopped at the Bedok Jetty for a while. Witnessed a bunch of old men catching some tiny fishes.. My butt was sored and flattened after 2 hours of riding.. Haha..

Craving for something cold to drink after that and so we headed to Coffee Bean for a drink. Tried to use Regina's expired on 20 April 2008 voucher but the plan failed as the staff found out.. Dratz.. Haha.. Decided to dine at Cineleisure's Suki Sushi only to realise they do not have dinner buffet.. Walked over to Heeren to check out the price for Sakae Sushi's sashimi buffet but the whole top level was closed for renovation.. Suay.. So we ended up at Sakura Buffet.. Stuffed ourselves silly with salmon sashimi.. I drank 4 types of soups and ate 7 Oysters with cheese.. Stomach so bloated now.. Haha.. Saw Jumie after that.. Think she going for midnight shift..

Okie.. I'm sleepy.. Yawn.. Nightz..

Over hyped Pasta De Waraku!

Hello all!

This is like my next fave greeting to everybody.. Haha..

Anyway, Bernard heard that I was going overseas for study and introduced his friend, Hansen to me.. He said Bernice, Yixia & Geswin would know him.. Haha.. Used to work at GV Grand or something along that line.. Yeah.. So he said he's studying in Adelaide now so I can ask him questions about that place.. Haha.. Thanks..

Next, finally met up with Sin Hwee after countless months of waiting.. I was craving for Xiao Long Bao (I still am) so we decided to dine at The Asian Kitchen at Citylink.. Scouted Marina Square for dessert after that but guess what we did? We headed into Pasta De Waraku and ordered another 2 more main courses.. Haha.. Mad.. But sadly, the food was so disappointing.. Guess it was too over-hyped and to think they displayed their food in such a way..

The day before, went for work.. Nth much.. Boring again.. Met the Orangs at Vivocity after their tanning session.. Saw Bernice & Wayne outside GV and chatted with them before the Orangs arrived.. Nice talking to you guys! Hopped around looking for places to eat and decided on Kim Gary! Haven't had it in the longest time.. I saw Bosco Wong on the paper table mat and quickly "kope" them home before they got dirtied.. Haha.. Slacked outside Ben & Jerry's discussing graduation and our chalet after graduation day.. I'm gonna be the Beverages & Transport Chief! Haha..

The day before yesterday, it was the Official Opening.. Was assigned to do crowd control at the taxi stand and it was a horrible horrible job as there were so many policemen and people coming in from all over the world.. Had to ensure they went to the correct places and that the area was clear for Lee Hsien Long's arrival.. He finally did and ignited the wonderful fireworks display after a countdown that nobody heard as it was so far far away on the rooftop garden.. It was so spectacular! I think everybody has seen fireworks shoot up into the sky before but have you ever seen fireworks shoot out from the capsules on a mega ferris wheel? Haha.. Me neither..

Okie.. I'm tired now.. Have to continue with my TVB now so Bye Bye!

@#$%^&* Day

Today was the first time I've ever felt so @#$%^&* at work.. Everything was so freaking messy..

Firstly, this stupid Taxi lady.. As you all know Flyer is having a promotion for Taxi Drivers.. So she presented me with her vocational license and told me she wanted the 7pm slot..

Me: "My apologies.. We don't accept advance bookings for this promotion.. Next flight is at 130pm or the latest I can give is 2pm.."

Taxi Lady: "Nvm lah.. Just give me the 7pm lah.. I change shift here and there dunno what time I can make it.. Anything one lah.."

Me: "No.. Sorry.. Cannot.."

Taxi Lady: "Aiya.. Then just give me the next one lah.."

Me: "OK.."

Later..

All the ticketing counters realised that that stupid Taxi Lady took one ticket from each ticketing counter.. KNS.. So a "red warning" was given out to all ticketing booths and Hospitality Crew to stop that Taxi Lady when she arrives to change her timings or tries to enter the Flyer.. Haha.. Serves her right.. I'm so glad this horrendous promotion is coming to an end..

Secondly, this couple comes up to me and complained that we overcharged them 4 times for 2 tickets.. The transaction was on March 20 lah.. Got receipt? No.. Got NETS "Approved" receipt? No.. Can let us see your monthly statement? No.. KNS.. Go and solve with NETS lah..

Thirdly, got 16 people turned up at Kimberly's counter and wanted the Trade Partners discount for up to 66 people.. So poor her had to key in all 16 people's name into the system.. Guess what? Those trade partners all come from that "famous hotel" called Meritus Mandarin.. ZzZzZzZ.. Not that hotel again.. I thot I'd seen the last of it.. So there I was seeing those same ppl again from HR, S&M and Banquet..

Fourthly, some weird guests who were like afraid of walking or something.. So there I was being the errand girl running between Management Office and the Tourist & Transit Hub like a dumbo..

Lastly, one particular colleague almost got me in deep shit because he refused to lemme write the time on the ticket and he said he would tear the ticket after he scanned it and yup.. He didn't.. ZzZzZz..

Oh well.. The @#$%^&* day is finally over.. Wun be working on the Official Opening on 15 April cos they dun want part timers for what reason I have no idea.. Oh yeah.. Another promotion to announce.. 2 Kids ride for FREE for every 2 paying Adults on 15 April between 9pm to 1030pm.. And oh yeah, almost forgot.. FREE parking everyday between 12pm to 2pm..

Bye Bye! Oh yeah.. Anybody knows where I can get cheap and nice looking winter clothing? Gotta get some before I fly there cos it's going to be Winter when I arrive..

What does Chee Bye means?

*Side note before this blog entry continues.. It's going to get vulgar..

It starts off with a Japanese & Singaporean student who meet while studying in Australia..

Japanese: Hey.. Can I ask you a question?

Singaporean: Yep?

Japanese: What does Chee Bye means?

Singaporean: Erm.. Well.. It means.. !@#$%^&* in our country.

Japanese: *Frown*

Singaporean: Eh? What's wrong?

Japanese: Now I know Chinese look at me so strangely when I tell them I come from Chiba, Japan.

=) Hope this little joke cheers everybody up..

P.S I gotta be prepared for such funny stuff when it's my turn to go over there.. Think I gotta prepare my dictionary of Singaporean vulgarities before I leave.. Later go there malu dunno how to explain.. Haha..

Surprise High Gang!

Last night was a blast with the High Gang! Had a surprise for Mummy Weiting and Daddy Wayne! The few of us met outside Starbucks to finish up the scrapbook while Yiyi went to collect the cake.. I must really complement Bernice, Yixia and Yanqi for all their efforts.. It really took them lots of time to do that scrapbook.. 3 cheers for them!

Decided to dine at Shukudo, a Japanese restaurant inspired by Marche.. There was a horribly long q when we reached.. All the staff faces changed to when we told them we had 9 people in total.. Waited for about 30mins before we got our table.. Told the staff to play along with us to surprise Mummy and Daddy.. Haha.. BTW..

The plan was that for Bernice to meet Mummy and Cousin to meet Daddy seperately and to drag the time while we q-ed for the table and complete the finishing touches.. The shocking element was that the 4 of them coincidentally met at Precious Thots when they were not supposed too.. Haha.. Kinda remind me of time when we were supposed to surprise Regina and Xuemin & Darren almost bumped into them at the 7-11 at Clarke Quay.. Anyway, yeah.. So the rest of us will wait for them at the restaurant and surprise them there.. Cos they thot we weren't able to make it.. Haha..

Ordered lots of food there.. Really alot.. And finally, ended the day with the Birthday Cake.. Didn't know how to sing the Bday song as we had to sing for 3 ppl that day.. Haha.. Presented the presents and so many of us teared at that touching moment.. Will post the pics when I've got them.. Took a neoprint before we left.. The Daddy & Mummy one was so nice! Haha..

Okie.. Should end this long post here.. Lemme take this chance to wish Cousin, Mummy and Daddy an advanced 2009 Birthday as well cos I wun be here.. =(

Anyway, just to add on.. I was telling the High Gang members about an Indian Restaurant located in Chinatown Point that allows its guests to pay any amount their heart desires for the meal.. Well, it actually exists!

It's called Annalakshmi.. The menu has everything you can find.. Food, drinks, desserts etc. One thing it doesn't have is the prices.. You know why? Because you can pay any amount you want for the food you have consumed.. Yup.. You can bring 4 friends and pay only $1 or you can pay $10,000.. It's really up to you.. It's actually started by a charitable man who opened the restaurant for the poor to have their meals.. Even their staff dun get salary, they work on a volunteer basis.. Their motto is "Eat what you want, Give what you feel".. Sounds like I'm promoting the restaurant but it really is a unique concept as they are not out to make profits but for charity.. Cool right? We should all go there someday.. Haha..

Blogging about life..

Hello! Think I better start blogging about my life rather than talking about all my dramas.. Lemme start with the very long long ago outing with 307.. Too many pictures to post up so I'll just post the group ones..

Next up is the GV Vivo Chalet.. Didn't expect to be invited even though I've left GV le.. Haha.. Dinner at White Dog Cafe with my family as it was my brother's birthday.. Drove Bernice and Yanqi down to Aloha Loyang.. Congrats guys! You are the first group of friends that I've ever driven.. Haha.. Wen An drove like 10 other people with drinks in the lorry.. Haha..

A Four Seasons buffet spread was waiting for us there along with lots of BBQ food and drinks.. Went to one of the rooms to gamble again.. Lost $3.. =( Went out to gossip gossip abit.. Realised I didn't know alot of new staff there.. Waited for all the EOS staff to arrive before the lucky draw started.. Cabbed home around 11+ with Yixia, Bernice and Yanqi cos they had school and work the next day..

Anyway, I'm seeing lots and lots of taxi uncles at work everyday.. All coming for the free ride.. The boring carpark shift everyday.. Lucky for Mr. Vanny to crack up the day.. He and his door password.. Haha..

Okie lah.. I think long enuff blog le.. See ya..
