I've Graduated & Orangs Chalet!

Hello all!

I've graduated from Poly! 3 cheers!

Met the Orangs in the morning to put the chalet stuff in my car first then headed to TCC to register.. Got rushed by the officials to go into the venue.. HTM occupied like 1.5 section of the entire TCC.. We were the largest group to graduate that day.. Hehe.. So there was the usual speeches and stuff.. It was finally time for us to go on stage to collect that diploma.. The worst thing to do on that day was to fall down on stage and I'm glad I didn't.. Haha..

Then it was time for the special awards including the Diplomas with Merit.. HTM was so high! Everybody stood up and cheered loudly for the others.. Haha.. I'm so glad to be in this course.. =) Finally, it was an ending performance by our dance group to my blog song..

Look Ma! I've graduated!

Orangs! Registering for the ceremony..

Orangs after the ceremony! I forgot who took the flasher photo.. But I'll find it and post it here.. =)

My beloved 306! I wonder where Sarah and Bei Lin were.. Thanks for Year 3 guys!

The ghost faces.. Messy messy hair.. And it freaking hot under that robe lah..

Joyce and I.. From HSC until now.. Haha..

Headed over to return the robes and to get our deposits.. Drove on to Aloha Loyang for the chalet with the Orangs.. Too early to check in.. So we slacked abit around the swimming pool first.. Called Jolyn to buy chicken rice for us.. Played Uno while killing time..

Ok.. Time to check in.. Garden Terrace G.. Had to stock take the items in the chalet.. First time hearing such thing.. Haha.. But the place was really big with a full kitchen, living room, 2 toilets and 2 rooms all for $120..

Theme of the chalet was Back to School! So ironic right since we just graduated.. Haha.. But we were supposed to be in sch uni to fit the theme.. My mum threw away mine so i ended up wearing my HSC PE Set.. Haha.. Pasted our school logos on the wall and slacked around watching TV.. Chicken rice delivery! Ate and played some games.. Forgot what they were le.. Haha..

Ordered Canadian Pizza for dinner.. Played Twister after that.. Gave up after a while.. Haha.. Then followed by Pictionary.. Topic was food.. Quite fun to see everybody drawing funny things out.. Especially Winnie's Hungarian Oxtail Stew, Xuemin's Mui Fan and Sandy's Stir-fried Kai Lan.. Haha.. I got Chicken Cutlet Fried Rice.. Let your imagination fly people.. Moved on to Charades after that.. Topic was Cartoons and Occupations.. Haha.. Cartoons was my forte of course but I still couldn't guess Parinee's Buzz Lightyear.. Haha.. And Jolyn's Cruella De Vil was classic.. I got The Little Mermaid's Flounder.. Haha.. Lisi video-ed the whole thing.. Hope it wun get posted on Youtube..

Continued with the games.. Next was getting Xuemin & Sandy to sing and hum to some Chinese and English songs respectively and get us to guess the title.. Haha.. One of my favourite games of that night.. Moved on to some drinking games.. Skipped the first few rounds as tummy didn't feel well.. Went to bathe during that short interval and came back hyper.. Drank a few cups and sleepy le.. Haha..

I guess people have different reactions when getting drunk.. Some start to cry and vent about life, some laugh uncontrollably, some start talking nonsense while others like me, sleep.. Haha.. Dunno how I slept also.. Woke up with neck pain and saw everybody in the room sleeping as well.. Wonder what happened to the rule and punishment.. Haha.. By the way, the rule was not to sleep until 6am and the punishment was to strip the people who slept naked and toss them out the door.. Haha..

Neck was hurting like crazy so went to find my own pig sty.. The double deckers beds in the next room were taken up by Sandy, Hui Ying, Lisi and her boyfriend.. Shucks.. Haha.. So I went to sleep on the sofa.. Forgot to turn on the fan and woke up sweating like mad.. Went back into the room and found Xuemin on the floor.. Haha..

Cleaned up and watched American Idol.. Just coicidentally it was the final results show.. David Cook won.. Haha.. I was supporting the other David though.. Headed out to check in and took the shuttlebus to White Sands for breakfast.. Cabbed home after that.. Uncle kept talking.. Yack Yack Yack..

Anyway, it was a wonderful graduation overall! Gonna miss TP always and the people I've met there.. Good Luck to Everyone!

Heavy Baby..

Hello all! Long time no blog.. Time for updates.. Hehe..

16th May- Outing with Juliana, Zhi Jun & Cecilia cancelled so I think I spent the day rotting at home.. Haha.. Can't really rmb..

17th May- Worked.. Er.. The Buddhist Relics Society or something along that line booked the entire carpark area for their event so we had to open up another counter.. Got transfered to that counter which was incidentally called "Information".. So lots of questions on how to get to Sentosa, how to go Marina Square etc.. And 2 uncles came and irritated the hell out of me.. Haha..

18th May- The long awaited High Gang outing was here! Met Daddy Wayne, Yanqi, Yiyi and Uncle Sim @ PS first and went Thai Express for lunch.. Junwei & Meiyi and Jaslyn joined us later.. Wanted to go for Ice Monster after that but the queue was so long.. So we just walked around and headed up to GV for our movie- Made of Honour.. Quite a nice movie.. Though I still dunno what's so funny about the Glow In The Dark Thunderbeads.. Haha..

Had to go meet my family for dinner after that so parted with High Gang.. =( Took cab down to East Coast Park.. The driver kept complaining that it would be jammed up.. But I still tipped him for driving me there.. Haha.. Headed to Long Beach Restaurant and ordered some set menu.. Got some auntie came to sell Big Sweep and my Grand Uncle bought 1 for each of us.. Haha.. Food was not too bad.. Cut cake, sing birthday song for my Great Grandma and home we go..

19th May- I am dumb.. Completely forgot it was Vesak Day and requested to work.. SF doesn't pay double on PH.. Stupid me.. So many people today.. Sian.. Money tally though.. Heng.. Haha..

Headed to AMK Hub to meet with Amber and Colleen.. And Amber brought along her little princess as well.. Carried the baby to go Fox to buy swimming costume then go to buy pacifier hook.. Haha.. The 3 of us took turns to carry the baby cos very tiring.. Haha.. 7kg! Went to Mac for drinks and the baby fell asleep.. Then we headed to some rooftop for steamboat.. And again the 3 of us had to take turns to eat and carry the baby.. Haha.. Mama & Papa, thank you for all patience in bringing me up.. I now know how tough it really is.. Haha..

Ok good night!

Post Japan Syndromes!

Hello all!

I'm still suffering from post- Japan syndrome but life has to go on.. Hehe.. Quite long entry ahead..

Anyway, met up with 306 on 12th May for a Belated Birthday celebration for Wei Lun.. Picked Bei Lin up from Eastpoint and got treated to Bubble Tea.. Thanks! Had a hard time finding the Suntec City carpark.. Walked over to Marina Square to meet Wei Lun & Cherie for KBOX.. Student Tapas is great value.. 3 cheers to it!

Hehe.. That's "Sarah" on TV.. So we decided to take a picture with her..

Headed off to meet Ayuni & Sarah for dinner at Breeks.. Wei Lun excused himself for the toilet and we prepared the birthday cake to surprise him..

Happy 20th Birthday!

Ayuni's neck looks long.. Hehe.. Camera tricks..

Nothing to do after dinner so we went for a short spin in my car.. Drove past Singapore Flyer and dropped Wei Lun & Cherie off at the MRT.. Sorry guys cannot send you all home.. =( Anyway, almost got lost on our way back.. Many thanks to my 3 lovely backseat drivers who got us all home safely.. =)

Now Sarah's on her first flight as The Air Stewardess to Adeliade.. Hehe.. Tell me what's fun there ya? And Wei Lun's on his first out of Malaysia trip.. Haha.. Dunno when we'll all meet again but I hope it's soon.. =)

Back to work on the 13th.. We were having some promotion of tourists and had to give out the Lonely Planet Singapore guide for free.. (They costs $40 each!) Sonnette and I got so bored that we took them out to read.. Read some very interesting facts about Singapore especially about Mustafa Centre and Geylang.. Haha.. And Guo Liang came for a photoshoot that day.. My goodness.. Those pants of his should just be burnt! He looked so weird!

14th May- Needed to go for a medical checkup for my Visa Application to Australia and only one clinic in Singapore does that- SATA Chinatown Clinic.. Almost got lost on the way there.. Paid like almost $700 for the whole Visa Application and Checkup.. And I had to wait more than 1 hr for my turn.. Damn..

I now realise why the wait was so long- trainees! So many of them! And only one pathetic "Sister" nurse to teach them all.. And also, they had a trainee male nurse who after my 5 mins of examination could see was blur, asked repeated questions and smelled horribly.. Man.. It wouldn't hurt to take a bath in the morning before work would it? Geez..

Initially, I thought I had to take a blood test which I'm really scared off.. But the doctor said urine test would do.. Heng ah.. Did an X-Ray after that.. Then followed by a phototaking for the Visa.. Rules: Must show ears and eyebrows and cannot show teeth.. Haha.. I ended up looking like a chimpanzee.. I'm glad they didn't allow me to bring home the picture.. I'll probably burn it off the face of this earth.. Haha..

15th May- Went to watch Iron Man at the new E!Hub at Downtown East with my sisters.. The carpark sucks by the way.. The parking is diagonal and you have to go up one level to exit the building.. Overall, a very trendy and "in" place to be.. They even have a shop that was opened up by an Ex-Chef from Meritus Mandarin's Chatterbox.. He was the guy who came up with the award winning recipe.. Gonna try it one day..

Bought our tickets.. Man.. The queue lines are so confusing.. Ticketing only.. Ticketing and Popcorn.. In the end, I bought my nachos combo from the "Ticketing Only" counter.. ZzZzZ.. The nachos suck by the way.. The cheese tastes old and sticky.. Eeew.. I'm boycotting Cathay's concession for a while.. However, the seats are super comfortable at E!Hub.. I just wish they had stadium seating like in Vivo and that they had more commercials instead of just starting directly on time.. Ironman is nice! Just that there were some draggy parts here and there..

Plan to go out with Juliana, Zhi Jun and Cecilia cancelled tml.. =(

Japan May 2008 Day 7 & 8

Day 7- 6 May 2008

Ok.. So this is view from my room.. It's on the 2nd storey so nothing much to see.. Anyway, the hotel is super old and the lift is super small.. 2 person go in with 2 luggage and that's it liaoz.. No more space.. Haha..

Some scenery from outside the breakfast place.. Forgot to take picture of the breakfast.. Haha..

Ooh.. We decided to stop by at Holland and visit their flower garden.. Haha.. Man.. I love spring.. The flowers are like huge and fat lah.. Look at my grandma's artistic pose lah.. Haha..

Hehe.. Lo and behold! Mount Fuji! We took the express plane back from Holland and told the pilot to let us parachute down to the base of Mt. Fuji! Haha.. We're like damn lucky can as it was foggy and dark yesterday..

Oh yeah.. We stopped by at a rest stop and they have this cute potty area for kids.. Mini toilet bowl and dunno what the guy's one is called.. Haha..

Drove on to Tokyo Disney Resort after that.. The whole road was jammed up with so many cars all going to see Hu Jin Tao or something.. The Chinese President was heading to the palace to visit the Emperor of Japan.. Security was tight.. Danny told us that going to see the emperor is as good as going to pray to a God.. And do you know the emperor does not have any surname? Because to the Japanese, he is considered a God so gods have no surnames.. Haha..

And, we're finally here! Tokyo Disney Resort! This is my second time here.. Last was 4 years ago.. Haha.. Not much cars today.. But a word of caution from my tour guide, Gary from 4 years ago that I still rmb up till today.. "It's not the cars you should be worried about, it's the tour buses.. 1 car can only take up to 4 people but 1 bus can carry 40 people." So true..

This here is the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel! Opening only on 8 July 2008.. Wonder if I can just fly over to stay 1 night and come home the next.. Haha..

Hehe.. At last a group photo! I'm like so gonna miss all of them.. One of the best tour groups I've ever had..

Yay! I'm finally here! Haha.. And they're having their 25th Anniversary..

The World Bazaar.. Too many things to shop and see.. Haha.. However, just a tip for any theme park go-ers, don't buy souvenirs until the end of the day if not you'll be carrying them around for the whole day..

Hehe.. My fave icon in the whole Disneyland.. The Castle!

Tommorow Land! Again, the queue was damn long for these rides.. About 70 mins of waiting time for each one..

Avril took this picture of me before going in for the Micro Adventures ride.. Damn.. I look funny.. Haha..

We saw a duck at Disneyland! Haha.. Looks damn fake right? But it's real.. It even eats popcorn.. Haha..

Our next ride with the tour group, It's A Small World! We took the same boat together so everybody helped to take pictures.. Hehe..

The Haunted Mansion! Wanted to ride this one a long time ago.. So had to FastPass it.. Haha.. Anyway, lemme explain what FP is.. For rides you see that have a long q, you can use your ticket to book a time slot for example, 1-2pm.. Then you can just return during that time slot and bypass the long q and head in straight for the ride.. Haha.. But you can only FP one ride at a time.. Haha..

Splash Mountain! You have to wait 80 mins for it lah.. And the FP was quite late so we gave this one a miss since we rode the one in HK before le..

Hehe.. Pictures of the castle again.. Man.. The sun was really hot sia..

That's King Ray in Adventureland.. I think he jumped out of the Jungle Book.. Haha..

If you can't see it, it's a orange flavoured sherbet.. Haha.. Perfect for that sudden hot weather..

The Pirates of the Caribbean ride.. Just sit in a boat and see Jack Sparrow hide from the pirates.. Quite fun.. Haha..

Dopey! The other 6 dwarfs were too busy signing autographs and taking pictures.. Haha..

That's Cinderella and her Fairy God Mother.. I think the FGM looks scary.. Haha.. And my grandma wore matching clothes! Haha..

Hehe.. That's Gopeto from Pinocchio.. Haha.. He was so nice to wait for me to reload the batteries in my camera before taking a picture with me again.. Haha..

After that, went to buy a Turkey Leg for lunch and sat along the parade route to wait for the parade to start.. Saw Bao Ling, Catherine and Jennifer as well so we all sat under the blistering sun.. Damn.. I got tanned at Disneyland lah..

I think the lady dressing up as Belle is damn ugly lah.. I mean the Belle in the movie is like super pretty.. And why did they get the real prince to be with her? Haha.. I wanna see the Beast..

I think that the prettiest of all the Disney Princesses was Cinderella.. Haha.. She's usually my least favourite Disney Princess..

I thought Pocahontas was ugly as well.. Haha.. What's up with the standards man? They're so down..

A quick fact.. Do you know Winnie the Pooh is the oldest Disney character? He's even older than Mickey Mouse!

Proudly presented by Do Co Mo.. It's sort of a telecommunications company in Japan.. Think Singtel..

Next ride was Pinocchio's Daring Journey! It's one of the first few Disney movies I watched..

And then it was time for Snow White's Adventures! Haha..

It's a real steamship that brings you around Disneyland for free! But it's real crowded..

Went on this next ride that actually brings you across to another island for some exploring and fun..

This ride is only for the strong and fit.. Haha.. Cos you gotta help paddle the canoe along with the other people.. But it was quite fun even though my arm sorta ached a little back home..

Went for some ultra quick shopping after the canoe rides while my grandma went to book seats for the parade.. Spent like almost $80 on all the souvenirs? Haha.. And dunno why they didn't require my signature or pin number when I swiped my card.. Weird..

The Night Electrical Parade! It was even better than the Day one.. However, my camera ran out of batteries and in the end, I only managed to take until the Winnie the Pooh one.. Damn.. Haha.. Oh.. And I forgot to mention that the weather suddenly turned crazily cold.. One minute it was sun-tan material, the next, frostbite.. Haha.. Weird..

But overall, it was a fun experience at Disneyland! Managed to ride like 9 rides in total which is considered quite good already.. Was the second last group to meet the tour group back at the bus.. Haha..

Then it was back to the hotel for some well-deserved rest.. As it was our last night here in Japan, Danny sang a song for us to bid us good bye.. Checked in to our hotel room and did a survey for the trip.. Went to find Danny to get some chocolate stock that we ordered from him.. Hadn't had dinner after the mad rush.. Headed over to 7-11 and bought instant noodles for dinner..

Managed to stuff everything into my bag to bring back to Singapore.. Was so worried that it would exceed the weight lah.. Haha.. Okie.. Time to sleep..

Day 8- 7 May 2008

The day has finally arrived for us to go home.. =( Had a late breakfast and went up to sleep again.. Haha.. Met the tour group at the lobby.. Some of them had already checked out early as they were extending their stay and had to make their way to their next hotel.. So sad..

This is another hotel opposite ours.. It's named Hotel Chapel Christmas.. Imagine celebrating christmas 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.. Not special anymore.. Haha..

Look at how burnt I've become.. Haha..

The hotel had specially catered a bus for us to go to the nearest shopping mall for some last minute shopping and to kill time.. Things were rather cheap there but gotta control myself not to buy anymore stuff as my luggage was in a dire situation of exploding any minute.. Haha..

But we saw this store there and I couldn't resist not buying anything.. Haha..

Met the group back at 215pm and headed to the airport for check in.. My heart was beating like crazy upon lifting my luggage onto the weighing scale.. You'll never believe how much it weighed- 19.9kg! Haha.. See? I told you guys you'll never believe it.. Don't have a picture to prove it.. Haha.. But I really thanked the Lord for it..

Ok.. So we said our goodbyes to Danny before heading in.. I said farewell to my Grandma before going in as well as she would be staying on in Japan to stay with her friend.. =( It was a sad sad moment for all of us.. Bye Danny and thanks for all your jokes and stories through out the trip!
Had like 3 hours to kill before our flight at 6pm so Avril, Bao Ling, Bao Ling's mum, Catherine and Jennifer went shopping around the airport.. Avril said that after all her experience of taking tour groups, she realised Singapore's DFS is one of the most expensive in Asia.. Do you know that a bottle of Absolute in Narita Airport costs only like S$14?!

Headed over to Excelsior Coffee for teatime after that.. Shared some cakes and the Royal Milk Tea tasted horrible.. Haha.. Talked about some stuff and exchanged emails..

Okie.. Time to board the plane.. We were seated like in the second last row of the plane lah.. And I occupied 3 seats altogether cos no one was sitting there at all.. Haha.. Catherine moved over as her area was stuffy.. Didn't sleep or eat on the plane at all.. Haha.. Cos there were too many things to do on the TV.. Watched Enchanted, Hannah Montana and Jumper!

Arrived at the airport around 1230am, said bye bye to everyone and headed home alone in a cab cos no one came to fetch me.. =( However, my brother and sister waited up for me.. Haha.. Consolation prize..

All in all, a wonderful and enjoyable trip with one of the best tour groups ever! Many thanks to my grandma for sponsoring me for this trip if not I'll never be able to go.. Haha.. Hope I'll get the chance to head back to Japan soon.. And this marks the end of this long long entry..

By the way, that's all the presents I bought from Japan.. Hehe..
