Birmingham Day 4!

Hello all!

So I'm back with Day 4 of Birmingham. Work today was awfully quiet. But a good thing would be that I parked free at the main lot. The normal charge would be $12 for the whole day. So lucky.

Day 4- 13 April 2009

Woke up real early to catch the 830am train to Coventry to meet up with my Secondary School friend, Shih Ying.

Wanted to keep them for remembrance sake but ended up throwing them away becos they were so thick.

The little ear handles beside the seats remind me of Mickey Mouse. Haha.

Countryside. Met Shih Ying at the Coventry train station where we took another train to Warwick. So happy to meet her again! =)

And finally, the small town of Warwick.

Easter Holidays. So many people everywhere.

Mummy, where should we go first?

Our admission ticket.

And Warwick Castle!

All the staff were just posing to be common peasants and doing medieval stuff. Their jobs were so easy. Just pretend to do things. Haha.

Me and Shih Ying!

All the peasant tents.

And some castle guard. He's probably frowning under that helmet cos he had to pose 4 times with us. Haha.

Some tall bell tower.

Inside the Palace Grounds.

My knight in shining armour.

And the wax exhibits inside the castle.

There were some hats and dresses on display for us to try on and take photos with.

Every castle has to have a moat.

And the outsie of the castle.

Next, we attempted to climb the towers. It was one way so no turning back. The stairs were so narrow and curvy. And it didn't seem to end. My legs were still trembling all the way to the dungeon.

Not quite at the top and already my legs were trembling. Haha. So weak.

And finally, at the top! Breathtaking views!

There were so many people and becos the stairs were so narrow, we even had to queue to exit the towers.

And a group photo at the top.

After that, our ticket included a castle dungeon tour. Something like a haunted mansion that lasted 40 mins. Almost killed me. Screamed like crazy. Full of torture, horror and gore. Eeew.

And then we had lunch at this restaurant that served really good food. We ordered the set lunch called Carvery. Damn delicious.

And then we walked past this performance area where the performers were staging a fight.

And the amount of people was crazy! This is just half of it. There's more at the back.

Took a stroll into the castle gardens.

Sparkly water. =)

And a beautiful picture of a peacock. =)

We headed back to Birmingham after that and Shih Ying headed back home to Coventry. See ya again soon! =)

Dinner at some Chinese restaurant.

Ok, end of entry! Good Night!
