The Land of the Mouse!

Hello all!

Better start blogging this entry before they all start piling up. So, I headed off to Orlando again on 2 July straight after work. To meet Sarah who was on her Annual Leave! Almost missed my connection in Denver. I had only 39 mins to do it.

Boarded the Disney's Magical Express to the hotel. Overloaded with Disney amenities but it makes me happy. =) Sarah and Yang Ying were at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Decided to meet at Downtown Disney later that night. Disney Shopping Heaven. Too bad I wasn't in the mood yet. Haha. Too drained from the lack of sleep. More than 24 hours.

And this random photo sparked a frenzy of closeup "Here's looking at you" photos for me. You'll see in that in the next few photos and entries.

Lego-mania!

Finally, the two girls arrive! And we head off to McDonalds for dinner/supper/breakfast for us who all come from different time zones. Sauce galore! I was hungry but craving for nuggets at the same time. =p

The next morning.

Disney All-Star Sports Resort. Yang Ying got a 50% discount off the room rates of us. Lucky us. Anybody who's travelling to Orlando in the near future, here's my recommendation. Stay at a Disney hotel. Saves you loads of time and trouble on planning. And maybe a bit of money too. Trust me. I've experienced the best and worse of both worlds.

While waiting for Yang Ying's friend, Wei Ying to get ready, I played around with my camera and it's newly found functions. Why is Donald Duck always so angry? And I've found out the names of Donald Duck's nephews- Huey (Red), Dewey (Blue) and Louie (Green).

As it was the 3rd of July, Yang Ying's complimentary tickets were blocked off from the Magic Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios which are considered the more popular parks. But it was fine with me since I've been already there. So, we started off with Disney's Animal Kingdom.
Experimenting with the Macro lens of my camera on Sarah's bangles. Not bad eh?

Our first "ride". Damn fun and not to mention cooling with the bug spray. Haha. And someone(s) brought home the 3D glasses. Not going to say who. Shhh. =p

A sort of jungle walkthrough. I like the bats and the tiger. As long as they're caged. But I'll like to be the tapir. Sleep all day. That's the life. By the way, there was a wired cage seperating the bat and I. I love my telephoto lens. =D

The different worlds.

The Musical. I heard Disney specially hired Broadway professionals to design the costumes and stage it. It was definitely new and nice though I suspected they got a girl to play Nemo.

We rode a couple more rides after this but I didn't take any pictures. Oh, Sarah and I were queuing for the Kali Rapids ride and we were like 10 mins from the boarding the raft when the ride broke down. Damn. -.-' At least we made up for it in Universal Studios. More to come on that later.

Off on a safari ride after that. It's like being in Africa. Damn cool. I got to see an elephant poo. I would still like very much to go to Africa and work but I think I may have to stay in the US because of other plans. Sigh.

There was a Simba baby that was wrapped up in the leaf. So tempted to buy that. But I have 3 pillows to worry about how to bring home already.

Took photos of the other paraders as well but I'll just summarise it with Mickey and Friends.

I dunno why. I just like this picture.

And another show that I've been meaning to watch for a few years- The Lion King Musical! Watched the one in Hong Kong Disneyland before. A little different from this one as they got people to play the characters of Simba and Nala instead of extras just flying here and there. But both were good. =)

Damn cute. I understand about the dumb Pooh mistaking the tiger as Tigger but the elephant as Eeyore? Oh gosh. Eeyore is a donkey for goodness sake you dumb Pooh.

A new obsession of mine.

The only character shots we took. Haha. I'm seeing Pluto everytime.

Why does Goofy look so shy?

My favourite ride! Haha. But it is damn scary. The two little boys behind even cried after the ride. I won't reveal details of the ride but if you do get a chance to go on it, don't sit where I sat. The scariest dinosaurs mostly pop out from that side. >.<

Man. Do I look goofy or not? Hahaha.

Off to Epcot next!

Pretty pink sunset.

And we ended the night off with the beautiful fireworks and a walk around Epcot topped off with Disney shopping at last! Yang Ying got us 30% discount! =D

I think the shot would have been much prettier if I had brought my tripod along and taken the photo in front of the ball instead.

Pizza to ease our growling tummies. I now know why I lost weight after my 15 days holiday in April. Because we mostly ate only one meal a day. Hahahaha. And now it's back on.

Ok! Disney entry up! Goodbye!
