Day 9- 18 April 2009
As if raining in London was not enough, it rained in Paris too. Just when we wanted to take nice pictures and do some exploring. Grrr.
I saw the beret in one of the souvenir shops and fell in love with it immediatedly. Haha.
They said that this guy looked like Mahatir. Hope I spelt his name correctly.
Our first stop of the day: Notre Dame de Paris.
Yeah, hello too. Haha. Another weird person.
Gargoyles and statues that line the Notre Dame.
Sparkly sparkly.
Simply beautiful.
Hallelujah.
A mini piece of the Notre Dame.
A bit too much sparkly. Hahaha.
And we bought a sugar crepe and choc waffle right outside the Notre Dame. So good.
Neo- classic Haussmannian boulevards and buildings.
And another river.
Rows of street coffeeshops. If it wasn't so wet, we may have sat down for tea.
After some time, the Lourve Museum.
This is where the painting of Mona Lisa is held at.
Yay! I touched the Lourve!
Long queue to get in.
And we continued walking.
Some sad guy, Arc de Carousel and Julian Caesar.
Place de la Concorde built in 1755..
Hittorf's Fountain built in 1838.
Welcome to Avenue des Champs-Élysées. Lots of shopping and restaurants.
And with Sarah's recommendation, we had lunch at Leon de Bruxelles. Superb.
So tired. We walked non stop all the way from the Notre Dame. It's very very very far. Hahahah.
