London Day 7!

Hello all!

I'm having a bad tummyache now. I think it's because of the lack of fruits and water. Haha. Oh, and I finally got the title for my car from Felix. Paxton is officially mine!

And I watched an new episode of Hannah Montana and it has a new song by Hannah Montana and David Archuleta. It's playing now. So nice.

Ok, let's continue with London.

Day 7- 16 April 2009

It started raining that morning and didn't stop till the evening. So irritating but that's London's weather folks.

First stop of the day was to the London Bridge. I accidentally mixed the pictures of two different bridges together. The one with the towers is the Tower Bridge. The long stretchy one is the London Bridge.

And the Tower of London was actually quite short? Hahaha. But it held a wonderful gift shop.

I forgot what building this was. Reminds me of a police division somehow.

The rain got so heavy at one point that we had to settle somewhere for shelter and morning breakfast.

The next stop of the day was the Tate Modern. An art gallery.

So true so true.

Outside Tate Modern was a river that was called The Bankside. Construction everywhere. Ruined the scenery. Haha. Left: St. Paul's Cathedral. Right: Millenium Bridge.

The only picture I managed to snap inside because you need to pay to enter.

And for lunch, croissants and sandwiches again. Urgh.

And Police on horses!

Proceeded on to the other attractions after that. Stopped by this Military Gallery. Poor horses.

Look at his sad face. =(

They were going to be changing shifts any minute but we were rushing for time so we left.

And the ever popular, red London double decker bus. Didn't get a chance to ride on one though.

On the way to Big Ben and the London Eye, we saw this riot/strike going on. I used the zoom lens of cos. Didn't dare to go to near.

And Big Ben! And the House of Parliament where the Crown Jewels were housed.

I loved Big Ben since young. So happy that I finally managed to see close up. =)

Looks like some haunted mansion. Haha.

And in close proximity was the London eye. Didn't cross over to it so used the zoom lens to take pictures of the cabins. Haha.

It would have been a bad day to go up though. Gloomy, foggy etc.

Our next stop was the ever famous Buckingham Palace.

And the guards. Couldn't take a picture of a stationery one because they kept marching around.

And dinner at some place where they served Singaporean/ Malaysian Delights! =)

And it was located in Chinatown.

Chinese Pastries! I miss you! Regretted not buying some back home. They don't have it back in Jackson Hole. =(

And we ended the day with a drink at The Exchange Bar. My first bottle of alcohol in close to 4 months. Seriously.

And I'm starting the overnight shifts from tomorrow onwards for the next 6 months. Going to try to enjoy it as much as possible. Wish me luck! Good Night!

London Day 6!

Hello all!

Now we're finally moving on to London! I love London. Just wished that we had more days there. Their train routes can get a little messy and confusing though. But I won't mind working here for a short period. Oh, and love the accent. =)

Day 6- 15 April 2009

Took an early morning train to London and got lost on the way finding our apartment. Super disappointed with how it turned out to be. The pictures were a total bluff. Bleh. Anyway, took a train down to Queensway to eat lunch, do a little souvenir shopping and visit Hyde Park.

It's so cute how everything red are the trademarks in London. Red phone booth. Red double decker bus. Red letter box. Manchester United. Liverpool.

And we finally reached! This area encompasses a few parks that are all listed as Royal Parks. This is also where Princess Diana's Memorial Ground is. But we walked all over the place and still cannot it. =(

It would have turned out nicer if I had gone lower.

Notting Hill? As in the Notting Hill?

As usual, a park would have that many people.

And the pretty leaves. Time for a change. Too many flower pictures. Haha.

A very mystical tree that would look splendid in the fall. It somehow reminds me of Rafiki's treehouse though.

And a huge lake in the middle of the park. If I ever do return, I'm gonna do a picnic there. So pretty.

Oh, and I love my zoom lens. Haha. Hi, swan!

Sunset!

I lugged that camera bag everyday around for 2 weeks. You have no idea how heavy it is.

Pretending to be emo. Haha.

So many couples around. We spotted one doing something under a coat and another doing "yoga" together. Just imagine.

And coming out from the toilet, we spotted a squirrel! Again, I love my zoom lens!

I just wish I had bought it with an image stabalizer but that would cost like $300 more. =(

And King Albert's Memorial Hall. From far, it kinda looked like a Golden Pagoda.

And the Royal Albert Hall. Many plays and productions going on here.

And Peiting went to take a picture of them two. For the record, I dunno them.

And Ladies & Gentlemen, welcome to Notting Hill! The most expensive living area in London. If I strike gold somewhere somehow, I will buy a house here. They're so pretty!

And finally, F&C for dinner! Such a big portion that it could feed at least 3 people.

Birmingham Day 5 + Ghost Town!

Hello all!

I want to sleep but have to wait till my soup finishes boiling first. So in the meantime, here's blogging Day 5 of Birmingham!

Day 5- 14 April 2009

Had breakfast at Krispy Kreme. Hadn't had it in a long time. The whipped cream on my hot chocolate was like a tower which collapsed anyhoo. Haha. I even brought the hat home and it's not sitting on top my lamp shade. =)

We had lots of plans today including visiting Cadbury World or visiting Shakespere's hometown but because it was the Easter Holidays, tickets everywhere were sold out! =( So in the end, we ended up in Bichester Village which is the outlet shopping village of Birmingham. Sale everywhere!

And the biggest culprit that made me spend about £60 was Polo Ralph Lauren! Bought a blouse and a polo T. But I'm happy anyhoo. =)

Took a break at Pret A Manger which is like the Coffeebean of the UK. I ate so many sandwiches in the UK that I'm now living off bread for at least a month.

And of cos, the very important phone booths when one visits the UK. Oh, and Puma sold me a sports backpack for just £22.50. How could I resist? It's in cute baby purple. =)

Dinner at this themed restaurant called Old Orleans.

Food was delicious but probably just in too small portions.

Ok, that's the end of Birmingham Day 5. And today, I had a little time before work so took a few pictures of Teton Village. Compare them with the pictures from the winter season.

No more snow on the base of the mountain! Isn't it just too pretty? I'm going phototaking either on Sunday or Monday. Can't wait! The scenery is gorgeous now. And while driving home these past 2 days, there were a herd of elk just 5 metres away from me. Bliss. Now I wanna see a bear cub and probably it's Mummy too.

Ghost Town. Seriously.
