The Wedding Game + Orlando (Walt Disney World)

Hello all!

So, I was just surfing the web randomly and came across this piece of news.

I can't believe they're finally married at last! And I watched their new movie, The Wedding Game and loved it. The final scene when he proposed to her was just so romantic with this song playing in the background.

Alright, last entry on my holiday. We're finally back on US soil! Whoo hoo!

Orlando (Walt Disney World Resort)- 21 April 2009

Decided to catch up with Jo-lynn from TP who was doing her internship with Walt Disney World. She got us complimentary tickets in!

Sunrise and a moon.

Took the complimentary shuttle bus from our resort which dropped us off at Epcot. The Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida is the biggest "Disneyland" in the whole world. It consists of four theme parks- Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom, two waterparks and about twenty resort accomodations.

Not sure if you guys are aware of this but before choosing FSJH, I wanted to do my internship at WDW but because I was an international student studying in Australia, I couldn't apply for it. =(

To get to the Magic Kingdom, we had to take a monorail and change to a boat after that. But the view was great. We could see the castle from miles away and Yinyin was going crazy. Hahaha.

I just had to put my filter on to capture this beautiful shot.

The tiles outside the Magic Kingdom. Had a hard time figuring out where Jo-lynn was due to the large crowd and the opening parade. But with some stroke of luck, we were just right behind each other in the same queue at the security check in. Haha.

Main Street USA.

Love this picture!

I have no idea why but my first stop to all Disneylands would definitely be Tomorrowland. Should try a different route next time. We played Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters and Tomorrowland Speedway.

And after that, made our way to Fantasyland where we took Snow White's Adventures.

My favourite 4D movie of all time- Mickey's Philhar Magic. Watched it last time in Hong Kong Disneyland and loved it. Cherry flavour sprays, water sprays etc.

Another must ride would be the happiest cruise in the world- It's A Small World. Jo-lynn was saying that if you collected all the coins in all the ponds in the whole of WDW, you could get at least US$200. I think more. Haha.

A supposedly scary ride but as this is Disneyland, nothing is scary. Hahaha.

Made our way towards Frontierland. Rode Splash Mountain. The two old guys in front of us kept commenting along the way, "This is the part where you start praying!" and down some crazily high slope.

It's a Kodak Photo Spot. Means your photos will have great views from this spot.

Bright clear skies. Loved it, missed it. And if you notice, this is the first time in at least 4 months that I hadn't worn a long sleeve shirt or a sweater or jacket over my clothes. Warm weather, I missed you. =)

Several tickets and passes along that I collected along the way.

And we had lunch at a restaurant called Tony's which is adapted from Lady and the Tramp.

I was craving for pasta and delicious pasta I got. =) Furthermore, Jo-lynn had a staff 20% discount. Oh yeah!

I've never had the habit of q-ing up for pictures with the Disney cast but I did it this time around. Peter Pan, Chip & Dale, Rafiki, Pluto and Goofy! I wanted some pictures with the Disney Princesses but we couldn't find them. =(

A ride where my pants got wet because the boat bumped too strongly against the water and it splashed into where I was sitting. Haha. Bad luck.

Queued up under the hot sun. 35 mins too. Oh well, the UK was having holidays so the queues in the entire park were that long.

To Jo-lynn and my excitement, Singapore! Hahaha.

The elephant was so cute. Hahaha.

At every Disneyland, the afternoon parade is definitely one of the must sees. Jo-lynn had to leave for work at that time unfortunately but she'll has lots of chances to see them again. Haha.

Took too many pictures so I'll combine them in one or two. I loved the music. And Cruelle de Vill was super high. Hahaha.

The Disney Princesses's floats! So pretty.

And the final float.

We should have gotten a seat in front of the castle if we had more time. The photos would turn out much more magical.

We had to rush for our Fastpass ride back in Adventureland but the parade was just passing through there and the roads were all blocked. Oh well, if you can't beat them , join them. We took pictures and watched it again. Hahaha.

Decided to pop by another one of the themeparks, Disney's Hollywood Studios because the tickets that Jo-lynn got us had entries to all four themeparks. Aren't we lucky? Haha.

Our dinner, Turkey Leg! Huge ass as always. Haha.

And the highlight of the day, shopping! A must do everytime right before the night parade. Bought quite a lot of stuff including a big head Jack the Skeleton who is now sitting in my car.

I love it when it gets dark in Disneyland. Brings you to a whole new world. We watched the night parade and fireworks but my photos turned out ugly. =( I still dunno how to set the exposure times for night shots. Next time I'll just take a video.

Good Bye Walt Disney World! So, the only Disneyland that I've yet to visit would be Paris Disneyland. Next time, next time.

And my gifts and souvenirs from the entire trip.

Time to sleep now and it's back to work tonight! See ya!
