I promised that the entry would be up by 12am on Boxing Day but I felt a sore throat coming on that night so it got delayed. Anyway, it's going to be a long entry since it spells all my events for the past 12 days. Let's get started! =)

The day has finally come for me to leave RIH. It was a nightmare to pack my luggage many days before.

SQ had only one flight out from Adelaide everyday and the one on this day was full so Aisah & I had to take a domestic Qantas flight to Sydney first before boarding another SQ flight back to Singapore.
Lots of rushing at Sydney Airport. We only had 2 hours transit time before our next flight. Firstly, we had to take a bus transfer from the domestic terminal to the international terminal followed. Secondly, thinking that we had ample time left, we went to buy Krispy Kreme donuts. Thirdly, we got chased out of the customs because we didn't have a stamp on our online boarding pass. Had to go back out to the SQ counter to get it. Fourthly, had a little trouble at security because Aisah was carrying two bottles of wine that she forgotten to put in her check in luggage. They threw the wine away sadly. Fifthly, we were the last few passengers to board our flight. Sixthly, our flight was on the A380! Whoo hoo!
I love the A380! It's big, bright, comfy and the screen was wide and in HD format! It even contains ports for your personal USB drives! Only two complains- the overhead compartments were so high that even I had to tiptoe to get my stuff and there were not enough toilets for the amount of passengers it carried. Other that that, I'm so looking forward to take the A380 again!
Touched down Singapore close to 10pm to the warm embrace of my Mummy waiting for me at the arrival gate. The rest of the family were waiting for me at the arrival hall. Suddenly, an announcement was made for Aisah and I. We approached a ground staff and they told us that our luggage had not make it on our flight because the transit time was too short! I almost fainted cos all my clothes were inside. But what the hell since they said they'll deliver it to my house the next day.
Came home to lovely lotus root soup cooked by my Grandma. Home has never felt so good!

Woke up really early due to the auto alarm clock of mine set to Adelaide morning time. Haha. Anyway, stayed home the whole day. Lunch-ed at the coffee shop near my house. Hawker food! Dinner was home cooked food and supper at the coffee shop again. Ho Ho Ho!

The day for the first surprise gathering has finally arrived! Been discussing with Bernice since two months ago about how to surprise High Gang. We decided on Sushi Tei at Raffles City because they had private rooms. I purposely came late because we wanted everybody to be there first. But Jun Wei mistook the dinner place to be at Kushin-bo at Suntec City. -.-' So in order to prevent him from seeing me, I had to hide in Robinsons for the time being. Finally, Bernice sms-ed that everybody has finally arrived and came out to meet me in the pretence of taking something from "her friend".
She went back in and I followed her shortly after and gave High Gang the surprise of their life! I think everybody sorta stopped eating that minute. Ho ho ho! Can't rmb much because I was too busy going around hugging everybody. Surprise successful!

Booked my 9am interview at the US Embassy. Reached a little too early so went to Mac for breakfast. The interview was pretty easy. Just needed to fill out some forms and got asked a few questions before the Visa got approved. But I had to come back on Friday to collect my passport again.Walked over to Tanglin Mall to visit my Grandaunty's stall in the food court and pass her stuff at the same time. Headed back to Tampines to meet my Mum and two youngest sisters for lunch at Ajisan. Again, too early so went to POSB to reset all my internet banking info. Had to pay $20 for a security device which I had misplaced.
Watched Bolt after lunch. It was so cute and good! I like Rhino! "Let it begin! Let it begin!"18 Dec
Accompanied my youngest sister back to her primary school to get her Sec 1 Posting Results. Turns out she's posted to Coral Secondary School where my second sister used to study. What a cool combination cos I used to study at Hai Sing Catholic School which is where my fourth sister is now. Well, the baby of the family has finally entered Sec Sch.
Headed to watch Twilight with the two youngest sister after that. The whole cinema was so filled with teenagers squealing and screaming with every appearance of Edward Cullen on the screen. Haha. I like Carlisle Cullen more actually. He's so cool.Almost got a heart attack on my way home because I bumped into Anni! Freaking out because I thot Beilin was in the vicinity as well and she's not supposed to see me until Saturday. But Anni assured me she wasn't and that she'll help me keep the secret that I'm home. Whew!

Headed down to Bugis to meet Sin Hwee for dinner. A little bit too early so went to National Library to read some books first.
Dinner was at a little restaurant at Purvis Street called Miss Clarity Cafe. Food was good and service was fast. Caught up with that girl who is doing her internship now. So many stories. Brings back so many memories. Haha. Off to Bugis Street after that to look for watches. So many things to buy. Home after that.20 Dec
Plan was to eat lunch at Fortunate Restaurant at Toa Payoh. I requested for a family picture to be taken before we left.

Planned with Sarah since October to surprise the group. So the plan was changed from a stayover to a dinner at Aston's at The Cathay. Cherie dropped a disappointing bombshell the night before about not being able to make it for the dinner cos she had training til late but it ended earlier than usual so in the end, she was still able to make it. =)
Picked Sarah up from her Godma's place and made our way through a jam down to Plaza Singapura. Wei Lun arrived early so he started q-ing first and all the time he was still oblivious to the fact that Cherie was coming down so Sarah cooked up a story to book a table for 6 because "her sister and her friend" were joining them. Haha.
Almost got another heart attack on the way up Plaza' carpark because we saw Cherie and Beilin along the way walking from Plaza to The Cathay! Freaked out because what if they had spotted my car?! But luckily enough, they didn't. Whew! Sarah headed off to meet them while I loitered around Plaza for a while to wait for all to arrive. Bought something from Daiso and finally received the sms that all had arrived. My heart was beating so fast while walking from Plaza to The Cathay. Haha.

Today is Dong Zhi so my Grandma said we had to eat Tang Yuan.
Was feeling really cheeky that morning. Haha.

Had to accompany my sister to her new Sec Sch for Orientation. The talk was so long as always.
Picked Edwin and Willy up from Tampines MRT and headed to Bugis for dinner. Sheng Long ps-ed us. =( The car park was so scary. I almost hit a fire hose while parking. Haha. Met Bernice there to pass her all my hard disks. After that it was to our usual spot for dinner. And we actually wanted dessert at Ji De Chi but it was so crowded so we headed next door to Crystal Jade instead.
The dessert wast quite disappointing though.

Picked my Mum up from the airport and headed to the Changi Air Freight Centre to pick up my parcel from Adelaide. Moral of the story: Never use a baggage company to mail stuff that are less than 20kg. You'll end up paying more for it than sending it through a post office. Lunch at Changi Village.
Headed to Plaza Singapura to collect Bernice's cake and shop for gift exchange presents. There was a wine sale happening so got myself 2 bottles of wine. After that, it was off to Taka to meet the Orangs. Only Regina knew I was coming home but because she wasn't able to make it so she had to tell someone else which was Huiying. I pounced on Jolyn and scared her until she wasn't able to move. Haha. Went shopping for Pamela's present and got her a shirt from FCUK. After that it was to Art Friend to shop for stuff to make something DIY for Pamela.
Dinner was at Cyrstal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao.
Xianglin looks like some superstar in the hat while the other two are her fans. Haha.Sandy arrived from work and we gave her a surprise too!
Aww. I missed her so much. =)
Haha.Headed back out to catch a cab but the whole of Orchard seems to be filled with people all waiting for cabs. Isn't anybody in Singapore affected by the recession? Finally got one cab and shared it with Sandy. The poor girl was so exhuasted from work.

Christmas Eve was spent at home making Christmas presents and reading books. My brother and 4th sister invited their friends over and it was like mad house of young teenagers all watching movies upstairs and downstiars. Damn. Made me feel so old. And today is the first time I've seen my parents bake together in a very long time. Haha. Well, more like my Mum baked while my father washed up. Had to sleep really early that night because I was meeting High Gang for Yum Cha in the morning to celebrate Christmas and Bernice's birthday.

Woke up at 730am to drive down to Chinatown for Yum Cha at Red Star. Picked Bernice and Weiting up from Outram Park MRT first. Jaslyn, Yiyi, Yongxing and Yanqi started q-ing since 8am in the morning for our table. Kudos to them because the queue got super duper long after that.
Dim Sum! We were all so sleepy that morning. Goes to show that our meeting time can never be earlier than 12pm. Haha.
And Jun Wei's very own Chicken Feet Egg Tart. Haha.
And our Ms. Ebi specially returned from Japan for this day to surprise Bernice! But I think I sorta ruined the surprise by accident. I was driving when Ebi msg-ed me then I accidentally told Weiting to help me reach a msg from her when Bernice was also in the car. Paiseh paiseh. Haha.

Home for Christmas Dinner with family. My mum baked Sheperd's Pie. And that's how I spent my Christmas 2008!
