Food Fest Shopping

Hello all!

First and foremost, if you have received some video link from me, I apologize.. It's some virus spreading amongst the computers in my hostel these few days.. Just don't click on the link..

In other words, Shopping with Irene and Celine today for the International Food Fest.. The chef couldn't order "exotic Asian ingredients" so we had to go buy them ourselves from the Vietnamese Supermarket.. And when I say "exotic Asian ingredients", I meant stuff that are so common in Singapore like barley, pandan leaves, ikan bilis, beancurd skin etc. Haha.. But try finding them here, it's gonna kill you..

Anyway, Irene is from Scotland and is the manager of my hostel.. Shopping with her was kinda entertaining.. Haha.. We spotted durian when we first entered the supermarket and she was going "Ooh and Ahh" when I explained what it was to her.. And this is the first time in my life that I've seen how "exotic Asian stuff" are sold overseas- in freezers! Ikan bilis, gingko nuts and pandan leaves! Can you imagine pandan leaves sold in freezers?! Haha.. Should have taken a picture..

Anyway, here to update on other random stuff.. My father just came back from his trip to Shangri-la in China and he sent me some pictures..

I LOL-ed when I saw this picture.. I'm thinking they're thinking they're F4.. Haha.. For the record, I do not know the other three uncles.. (My father is second from the right)

New Taiwan Idol Drama starting Nov 16, 2008! Love or Bread! Hope it'll be good.. Haha..

Another random photo.. Suri! In case you dunno, she's the daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.. Haha.. And she's gonna grow up to be so pretty..

Hmm.. It's supposed to be summer actually.. Well, it was yesterday.. It was 36 degrees! And rain never did come today.. Grr..

But it sure did in Singapore.. Haha.. Bring your umbrellas out folks!

Hmm.. So sad.. =( Be careful when you guys go the zoo next time k?

And in case you were wondering if this a father taking wedding pictures with his daughter, you are so wrong.. Haha.. He is the groom.. Very old groom to be exact.. He's 86 and she's 32.. Well, what can I say? Some like them old don't they? Haha..

But I guess he's has very good qualifications after all.. He's the first Chinese to win a Nobel prize..
