Yakitori Takumi!

Hello all!

I've submitted in my HR assignment so I'm sorta free for about 3 weeks.. Hehe.. But there's the mega projects to be submitted then and exam's in about 5 weeks from now.. After that, school ends which means start of internship.. =)

By the way, MSN-ed with Emilyn last night after such a long time.. I miss my trainer so much! Haha.. And she said MM's in a wreck now.. The reception is now located at the old Chatterbox.. And they've closed down Mezebar and Triple 3.. Oh, the swimming pool's closed too.. Haha.. So all the guests have their meals at Top of The M and Mandarin Ballroom.. Oh God..

And, this is Adelaide's Bubble Tea.. Haha.. Pretty similar taste.. Bought it on Friday after dinner with Sarah.. BTW, the hotel room's pillows were so huge!

And this was the basketball match they were having on Saturday.. Forgot who won.. Haha..

Monday- Dinner at Yakitori Takumi along Melbourne Street.. Got terribly lost finding our way there.. Attended some book launch promotion..

Yakitori Takumi!

The book launch we attended..

10 Courses! First time having a degustation meal.. =)

And the books..

The dinner started off with a beer- Bee Sting Honey Wheat Beer.. Pretty good IMO..

And the author himself.. He was making some speech I think..

Zaru Soba- the first dish.. Super tasty!

And the restaurant's chef grilling the asparagus..

Robatayaki Asparagus..

Haha.. I think not many of you have seen kangeroo meat before right? Here it is!

OZ Yaki with Shallot & Coriander Salsa..

Grilled finger eggplants with miso..

Miso Eggplant..

Local large green prawn grilled with herb oil..

Ebi Shio Yaki..

And a traditional Japanese refreshment, pickled daikon radish.. Daikon Tsukemono..

The bar..
And the staff that day..

Organic Ale.. Didn't like it.. Very wheaty..

Firm skate fillet grilled with white miso marinade..

Miso blackened skate fillet..

Grilled rice ball brushed with light soy..

Yaki Onigiri.. Didn't like this dish at all.. Haha..

Large char grilled chicken liver skewer, dipped in Tare, yakitori glaze

Kimo..

Angus beef skewer with ponzu dressing and daikon mash..

Gyu Ros..

Chicken breast skewer topped with melted cheese and herbs..

Tori Cheezu..

Caramelised pineapple with rum, giner and lemongrass syrup serve with chilli..

Grilled Pineapple- Super nice dessert!

A group picture! Supposed to have Ingrid but she couldn't make it last minute.. =(

And they gave us chocolates right before we left..

This little fella kept me company thruout the entire 4.5 hrs meal.. Haha.. Paid $40 each.. Quite worth it for a meal with 10 courses and 2 beers.. Wanted to go Elephant Walk for desserts but it was late so we cabbed home.. Haha..

Oh, and something interesting we learnt in HR class on Monday.. Moscow ranks top in being the most expensive city in the world for expatriates and their family! Singapore ranks 9th.. My God! Our standard of living is really high.. And Adelaide's not even on the list but Sydney ranks 24th.. Haha.. Click on the link below to see the rankings..
