Today was another highly anticipated High Gang outing! A farewell dinner for our Bird Brother, Yiyi before he goes into NS.. In fact, it was also the fastest outing we've ever planned.. Haha..
Anyway, decided at first not to drive the car cos it couldn't go into Funan's car park.. But he insisted I drove cos we had plans after dinner.. Picked Bernice up at around 7pm at City Hall, original plan was 630pm but there was a huge jam on my way there.. Parked across Funan at Adelphi.. Headed back across to Sakae Sushi.. She managed to book the private room! Haha..
The rest of the High Gang arrived soon after in Yiyi's car.. Ordered like so many things that even if the waitress brings in something we didn't order, we wouldn't even know.. Haha.. So 10 hungry people dug into the most extravagant Sakae Sushi meal we've ever had.. Yanqi, we ate your share as well! Haha.. We're all waiting for you to come back..
Decided to head to Dempsey Hill for Ben & Jerry's after dinner.. Jun Wei couldn't join us as he had something on.. =( So the girls walked back with me to Adelphi to get my car and we drove on to find Yiyi's car.. Found them at Park Mall and followed his car all the way as I am a complete road idiot.. Haha.. I wouldn't even realise if he was heading for Johor..
Reached the place at last and headed in to find a place to sit, away from the heavy rain.. The guys actually wanted to order a Vermonster which had 20 scoops and lots of other things for $88 but the girls couldn't finish so we settled on 2 Merlionster instead.. Talked about going to Thailand in August and Genting in December but I won't be able to join them both.. =(
Left the place around 11pm.. Yixia, Bernice and Yongxing took my car home while the rest headed home in Yiyi's car.. Lucky I drove if not I wonder how on earth am I going to get home.. Dempsey Hill is located at a very ulu pandan area of Singapore.. Sent the 2 girls home first to Tiong Bahru.. Then sent cousin home to Punggol.. Made it home safe and sound.. Thank you everybody for guiding this road idiot all the way!
