Bintan June- July 2008

Hello all!

I'm back from Bintan! Short trip but nonetheless fun!

At the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal.. I took this picture when I came back in Singapore actually.. Haha..

And the ferry we took.. Aria Bupala.. Singapore waters are so wavy lah.. I still prefer to take bus or aeroplane.. Nv boats.. Haha..

The Garuda.. I forgot why it's so speical liao but it's gotta be cos even the national airline is named after it..

Arrived at the resort, Club Med Bintan.. Had a welcome drink and speech and were walked to our room by a FO guy called Steve..

Ahhh.. The beds.. So comfy and pretty.. They put little flowers on the bed.. And the room had a total of 12 pillows! Haha..

The bathroom.. Haha.. Our toilet bowl spoilt on our last day.. The water just didn't go down.. Eeew..

And the view from the room.. Not really that spectacular though but at least it was quiet..

And my favourite spot of the entire room, a little corner with a very comfy sofa bed..

Headed out for lunch after that.. Shocked to see the buffet spread they had.. Too much to comprehend.. Haha..

And Club Med has a policy whereby guests and staff all dine tgt.. So halfway thru your meal, you'll have staff coming up to you asking if they can join you.. Haha.. My grandma and I lunched with the same pair of Filiphino staff for 3 days, an Indian-Pakistan-used to live in Norway lifeguard for dinner on the first night and a Mauritius Mini-Club staff + a Taiwanese Boutique staff for dinner on the second night..

And I've just got thrown in the water.. Haha..

And the two Filiphino staff that we lunched with happened to be the resort's live band!

It's free flow of snacks and drinks all day long.. Just pop over to the bar and grab whatever you fancy.. Haha.. All F.O.C..

And the lovely buffet spread we have everyday..

Every evening, there would be performance by the staff shown in the theatre and after the performance, there would be this prog called "Crazy Signs" where they invite all the guests to dance tgt.. Haha.. So fun.. We congo-ed into the Bagus Bar for Casino Night.. Kids can join in too.. The chips are free and of no value so just take and play as much as you like.. At the end of the night, you can change the chips for lucky draw coupons.. I won a flashing pen.. Haha..



Ah.. The beautiful sunset..
